AEW All In: London has been months in the making, but not every match on the Wembley Stadium card came together at the same time. New backstage details have now revealed when AEW settled on several of the biggest matches and title changes leading into the show.
Fightful Select reports that Will Ospreay challenging Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship has been the general plan since early 2026. AEW also mapped out the championship’s path from MJF to Darby Allin, back to MJF and eventually to Omega.
That long-term plan led to Omega capturing the AEW World Championship from MJF at Dynamite Beach Break. Ospreay then secured his place in the All In main event by winning the 2026 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Kevin Knight defending the AEW TNT Championship against Darby Allin in a Falls Count Anywhere match has also been planned for the last couple of months. Their rivalry began when Knight attacked Allin while he was strapped to a stretcher at Double or Nothing and delivered a UFO Splash.
MJF and Andrade El Ídolo have been penciled into the Casino Gauntlet for months as well. Andrade will enter from the No. 1 position, while MJF enters second, guaranteeing they will begin the match against each other.
The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match between Divine Dominion and the Brawling Birds was another early idea. Megan Bayne and Lena Kross defending against Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor became a general plan shortly after Hayter and Windsor began teaming together.
Not every part of the card was locked down months in advance. Plans for the AEW World Trios Championship match were only finalized this week. “Hangman” Adam Page, Bandido and Brody King will defend in a Trios Royale Roulette featuring Bang Bang Gang, The Conglomeration, Death Riders, The Demand, The Dogs and a wild-card team.
The Motor City Machine Guns were never factored into the All In build following their AEW debuts, and that was said to be intentional. Their absence from the Wembley card wasn’t the result of plans falling apart because AEW did not have them included from the beginning.
The timeline shows that AEW had the World Championship picture, Casino Gauntlet and several featured matches mapped out well in advance, while the complicated Trios Title match remained undecided until the final week. Now all those plans will finally play out at Wembley Stadium.
