Andrade already has gold around his waist, but he is nowhere near satisfied. The AEW National Champion has his sights set on the biggest prize in the company too, and he made it crystal clear that his endgame is walking around with two belts.

During an appearance on Close Up with Renee Paquette, Andrade was discussing his National Championship defense against Tommaso Ciampa when the conversation shifted to what comes next. Andrade did not dance around it. He wants the AEW World Championship too.

“But this is my title. This is my title. I want this title. I want the world title. So I want Andrade two belts.”

That opened the door for Renee to ask the obvious question. Andrade already has a future shot at the World Championship, so when exactly is he planning to pull the trigger? He is keeping that part close to the vest. Andrade said he knows there is a move to make, but he is not going to force it just because the opportunity is sitting there.

“Oh, I know. It’s difficult. I want to wait for the right time.”

For Andrade, this is bigger than just adding another championship to the collection. He said everyone wants to be the top guy, and part of the reason he came back to AEW was to prove that he can be trusted to represent the company at the highest level.

“This is a business. Everyone, everybody want to do the best and the number one in the company, and this is why I am back to AEW, because I want to show that I can represent the company.”

The interesting part is that Andrade does not even know who will be standing across from him when he finally decides the time is right. Will Ospreay’s name came up, but Andrade said he is willing to wait and see who has the belt when he is ready to make his move.

“I don’t know if it’s with Ospreay or I don’t know who is the champion in this moment, but I need to make a decision. I want to wait a little, little while. When I’m ready, I need to change.”

So Andrade is not in any rush here. He has one championship, a future World Title shot waiting in the wings, and a very simple goal when the dust settles: become “Andrade Two Belts.”

The clock is now ticking on when Andrade finally decides to make that move, and when he does, whoever is holding the AEW World Championship is going to have a serious problem on their hands.

Do you think Andrade should wait for the perfect moment to go after the AEW World Championship, or should he make his move as soon as possible? Let us know what you think in the comments.
