Andrade El Idolo is going after gold in AEW, but he has to get through the Don Callis Family first.

AEW announced that Andrade will face Jake Doyle on the July 15 episode of AEW Dynamite. Doyle is part of the Don Callis Family, and this match now comes with a major prize attached. If Andrade beats Doyle, he will earn a shot at Mark Davis and the AEW National Championship.

The match was set up on AEW Dynamite Beach Bash after Andrade made it clear that he wanted the National Title. Don Callis did not just hand him the opportunity. Instead, Callis put Jake Doyle in Andrade’s way first.

That gives Andrade a clear path, but it also gives the Don Callis Family a chance to stop him before he ever gets near Mark Davis. Andrade has plenty of experience, but Callis’ group is never exactly known for playing fair when something important is on the line.

Right now, Andrade vs. Jake Doyle is the only match announced for the July 15 episode of AEW Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite lineup for July 15:

  • Andrade El Idolo vs. Jake Doyle

Andrade is back in the hunt, and a win on Dynamite would put him right in line for a National Championship match. Now the question is whether Jake Doyle can shut that down before it even starts.

Do you think Andrade El Idolo should be the next AEW National Champion? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know.
