Amazing Red just pulled off one of the wildest comeback moments of TNA Bound For Glory 2026, winning the vacant X-Division Championship more than 16 years after he last held the title.
The second match of the night saw seven competitors battle for the vacant championship after Leon Slater gave up the belt by exercising Option C to challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship.
The field originally had six names, but that changed earlier in the night when Amazing Red dropped a surprise during his TNA Hall of Fame speech and announced that he was entering the match himself. That turned the scramble into a seven-man fight — and Red made sure the last-minute addition counted.
Amazing Red connected with the Code Red on KC Navarro and scored the pinfall, officially becoming a four-time TNA X-Division Champion. The win carried some serious history with it. Red had not held the X-Division Championship since September 25, 2010, meaning his latest title victory comes just over 16 years after his previous reign ended.
That makes this one of the biggest full-circle moments of the entire night. Red went from being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame to stepping into a title match and walking out with championship gold only hours later.
The title change went down at TNA Bound For Glory on October 11, 2026, where TNA is crowning champions and delivering major moments throughout the night.
Amazing Red came into Bound For Glory to celebrate his legacy, but he ended up adding another chapter to it. After more than a decade and a half away from the X-Division title, Red is champion again — and that Hall of Fame induction suddenly feels like the beginning of something instead of the end.
