AEW could be loading up again, with several new names now in play as a fresh batch of former WWE talent hits free agency.

Fightful Select checked with sources inside AEW after a claim surfaced that seven wrestlers were waiting to sign or debut with the company. AEW sources would not confirm the number seven, but they made it clear that multiple names are being discussed.

“When we asked about Wrestling Observer’s report that seven wrestlers are waiting to debut or sign with AEW, sources in AEW wouldn’t confirm that, but did note there are several.”

The timing makes sense. The 90-day non-compete periods for several wrestlers released by WWE in April have now expired, allowing them to sign and appear anywhere immediately.

AEW already has a packed roster, but Tony Khan still has Dynamite, Collision and ROH television to fill each week. That leaves plenty of room for new talent across all three brands.

No names have been confirmed, and there is no word on when any deals could be completed. Still, AEW sources admitting that several wrestlers are in play points to possible roster moves in the coming weeks.

Which free agents do you think AEW is looking to sign? Leave your feedback in the comments.
