AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite Results (9/9/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz welcoming us as we get an in memoriam graphic for the late AEW star The Butcher.
Excalibur then runs down the card for tonight’s Dynamite, while Tony Schiavone visibly struggles to fight back his tears after sharing the news about The Butcher’s passing.
Rebel then introduces Britt Baker and she makes her way out to The Waiting Room. Baker says Reba’s strength, fight and spirit has inspired everyone. Rebel then tells Baker her name is actually Rebel and Baker introduces Persephone. Persephone then makes her way out to thank Baker for helping her save the AEW women’s division. Persephone then says she’s the epitome of a champion as both TBS Champion and CMLL World Women’s Champion. Baker then introduces Hikaru Shida and she enters The Waiting Room. Shida then says she hated Baker and Rebel years ago, but she hates Maya World even more now. The three then talk about their trios match later on and leave as Rebel tries to remind Baker about taking her glove with her.
The Conglomeration then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Swerve Strickland and The New Level follow.
AEW World Trios Championship Match: The New Level (Kofi and “Awesome” Austin Creed) and Swerve Strickland (c) vs. The Conglomeration (“Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly)
The match starts off with Kofi and Orange Cassidy squaring off. Cassidy is then taken down but bounces back up, catching Kofi by surprise for a near fall. Kofi then tries to sweep Cassidy off his legs, but to no avail and Cassidy offers one last try only to dodge the hand once more. Little bit of frustration from Kofi as he tags in Creed and a tag is made to O’Reilly as well. Creed then gets a few moves in on O’Reilly, countering out to take O’Reilly to the mat. He then goes to the ropes, dodging O’Reilly to take him down with a forearm strike. Chaos then ensues as Strickland and Strong come in as well, with Strong using Cassidy as a weapon against his opponents.
In the midst of all this, Cassidy takes a tag and goes to work on Kofi before tagging in Strong, which allows the Conglomeration to stay in control. Kofi and Strong then tag in. Kofi then flies off the top rope with a clothesline to nail Strong and he follows it up with a dropkick to him. Kofi then hits a crossbody to Strong off the ropes and goes for a pin. Strong then kicks out, but Strickland tags in and Strong gets him up on his shoulders. Strickland then escapes, but Strong looks to catapult Strickland into the ropes. Strickland then lands on his feet on the outside and holds him in place for Kofi to hit a double stomp on him off the bottom rope as Creed hits a backbreaker off the top rope.
Creed then hits an elbow drop to Strong, but Cassidy and Kofi tag in. Kofi then hits Cassidy with a knee, but Creed tags back in and double teams on Cassidy with Kofi. Strickland then tags in, but Cassidy hits him with a Stun Dog Millionaire. Strong then hits an Angle Slam to Strickland, but Creed nails him. The New Level then double team on O’Reilly (who has tagged back in), but Cassidy nails Strickland with a shotgun dropkick. Kofi and Creed then look to double team on Cassidy, but Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets to escape by cinching in a double headlock on them and delivering his signature kicks on Strickland. Strong then sets up for a Tornado DDT on Kofi, but Strickland hits him with a House Call. Kofi then holds Cassidy in place for Creed to hit a double stomp to him off the top rope for the win.

After the match, Roderick Strong is nowhere to be seen as O’Reilly helps Cassidy to shake hands with Strickland and The New Level. The Demand and The Lethal Twist then make their way out and Ricochet begins to complain about The Demand losing the AEW World Trios Championship and The New Level walking into his company and be handed opportunities. He then tells The New Level and Strickland to get out of his ring, but decides that The Demand and The Lethal Twist should kick him out instead. “Hangman” Adam Page, Brody King and Bandido then run out to come to the aid of Strickland and The New Level, causing The Demand and The Lethal Twist to back down. King and Bandido then hand The New Level their AEW World Trios Championship belts and Page hesitantly hands Strickland the third AEW World Trios Championship belt.
We then head to the back, where Steven Borden cuts a promo. Steve Borden addresses being afraid of his father’s shadow his whole life, but sees a chance to make his own way when he teams with Darby Allin to take on Mark Davis and Josh Alexander later tonight.
We hen head to ringside as commentary talks about Andy “The Butcher” Williams who passed away this past weekend. Excalibur then gives a very touching statement about The Butcher and we get a graphic noting that a tribute to Williams will take place on Collision.
We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette is with the Don Callis Family. Josh Alexander talks about coming back after five months on the shelf when he teams with Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight talk about facing The Young Bucks. Fletcher then starts to walk off when Okada gets involved, saying he’s glad Fletcher finally sees the value in family. Fletcher is then annoyed by Okada and walks off as we head back to ringside.
Hyan, Maya World and Thunder Rosa then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night. Persephone, Hikaru Shida and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. then follow as we get a look at the donation made to I AM ALS as part of what tonight is all about. With all six women in the ring, this match gets underway.
Trios Match: Maya World, Hyan and “La Mera Mera” Thunder Rosa vs. CMLL World Women’s Champion and AEW TBS Champion Persephone, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Hikaru Shida
The match starts off with Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa, but Baker immediately tags in Persephone instead. Rosa then takes Persephone to the mat, but Persephone looks to fight back. She then catches Rosa and sends her into the corner, but Rosa dodges a shoulder charge for a backslide and a near fall. A tag is then made to Hyan and to Maya World as they keep Persephone down, with Hyan tagging back in for a two count. She then heads to the ropes, but gets caught with a Persephone powerslam for two. A tag is then made to Hikaru Shida, but Hyan dodges a kick to send Shida into the turnbuckle. A tag is then made to World, who hits a moonsault for a near fall.
Shida then takes control as she sends World to the corner. World fends off Baker, but gets blindsided by Shida. Rosa then hits a Stunner to Persephone and a couple of knee strikes on Shida and Persephone in opposite corners. Baker then tags in and hits a swinging neckbreaker to Hyan, but Rebel appears at ringside to hand Baker her medical glove. Hyan then rolls up Baker, but Baker kicks out and cinches in the Lockjaw on her as she points at Rebel to shout her out. Hyan then taps out for the win and an excited Rebel watches on from the outside as Shida hugs her.

We then get a video package highlighting Rebel’s fight against ALS and the Rebel Heart initiative and commentary hypes up what else is happening tonight.
We then get a video package looking at AEW National Champion Andrade El Idolo and his goal of going after the AEW World Championship. The video package also looks at El Idolo’s win in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In.
Andrade El Idolo then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and The Beast Mortos follows.
AEW National Championship Match: Andrade El Ídolo (c) vs. LFI’s The Beast Mortos
The match starts off with The Beast Mortos charging at Andrade El Idolo immediately, only for Andrade to take Mortos to the mat. Mortos then leaves the ring before El Idolo can get to him and Andrade takes Mortos down with a diving hurricanrana instead. El Idolo then gets a selfie with a couple of fans in the front row before taking Mortos back to the ring, only for El Idolo to be sent out of the ring by Mortos who leaps through the ropes for a dive. Back in the ring, El Idolo has regained control as he sends Mortos into the corner. The crowd is looking forward to what’s coming next as El Idolo looks for a Meteora, only to be slammed hard to the mat by Mortos.
El Idolo then tries to fight back from the corner, but Mortos takes him out with a lungblower for a two count. El Idolo then manages to fight back for a near fall of his own and he follows it up with a Dia de los Muertos and the DM for the win.

After the match, Andrade El Idolo says he promised to defend the National Championship every week. El Idolo then says Mortos is a good wrestler, but not good enough to beat him because he’s Andrade. The Dogs then blindside El Idolo from behind and David Finlay and Clark Connors beat him down as Gabe Kidd calls El Idolo an idiot. Will Ospreay’s music then hits and he runs out to the ring to aid El Idolo.
The Death Riders’ music then hits and Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir make their way down to the ring. Moxley then takes a seat at the commentary desk for the next match of the night. We then find out the World Title Eliminator Match is going down right now. Kidd and Connors then take their leave with El Idolo chasing them down as we get the match underway.
AEW World Championship Eliminator Match: “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay (c) vs. The Dogs’ David Finlay
The match starts off with both men locking up. David Finlay then starts to take control here, sending Will Ospreay into the corner for some hard shots but Ospreay turns things around to send Finlay out of the ring for a dive through the ropes. Ospreay then stares down Moxley, with Finlay still down on the floor. Ospreay then takes out Finlay from the corner with a springboard forearm. Finlay then sends Ospreay to the ropes, but gets taken out by Ospreay for a two count. Both men are now on their feet as Finlay hits some forearms on Ospreay, eventually taking Ospreay down hard with a backbreaker for two.
Finlay then brings Ospreay to his feet for a shoulder powerbomb, but Ospreay powers out for a crescent kick. Ospreay then hits a powerbomb, but only gets a near fall for it. Ospreay then calls for a Hidden Blade, but Finlay rolls under the bottom rope and hits a jawbreaker to Ospreay using the top rope. Ospreay then responds with an Os-Cutter to Finlay and pins him, but Finlay kicks out and Ospreay sets up for a Hidden Blade on him. Finlay then avoids it, but Ospreay hits Finlay with a Stun-Dog Millionaire and a Styles Clash for the win.

After the match, Moxley gives Ospreay some props on commentary before leaving through the crowd and Ospreay celebrates the win.
We then head to the back, where Brodido and “Hangman” Adam Page talk about earlier tonight and whether it means they’re still in the hunt for the titles. A summit then ensues as they ultimately agree they’re still a trio even if they can’t agree on who is El Guapo and Dynamite rolls on.
Don Callis Family then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night with Mark Davis and Josh Alexander ready to compete. Darby Allin and Steven Borden then make their way down to the ring and we get the match underway.
Tag Team Match: AEW TNT Champion Darby Allin and Steven Borden vs. Don Callis Family (Mark Davis and “The Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander)
The match starts off with Mark Davis and Darby Allin before Steven Borden gets the tag. We then get “Steve” chants for Steven Borden as he goes after Davis, taking Davis to the mat. Borden then wrings the arms as Davis gets to his feet and Borden cinches in a headlock before tagging in Allin, who takes a headlock of his own. Allin is then shoved away, but he goes after Alexander before hitting a springboard Coffin Drop on Davis and we see that Alexander has gotten a blind tag, allowing for a beatdown on Allin. Davis then cinches in a Texas Cloverleaf and he transitions into a powerbomb on Allin, mocking Borden before tagging in Alexander who hits a body slam.
A tag is then made to Davis, who goes for a cover but only gets two. A missed senton then gives Allin a chance to go for a tag, but Davis keeps Borden off the apron as Alexander tags back in for a backbreaker on Allin. Double team then doesn’t get the job done as Allin fends off two suplexes for a tag to Borden. He then takes Davis down with a clothesline and gives both men a body slam each for good measure. He then sends Davis out of the ring before hitting Alexander with a Samoan drop. A leaping elbow drop then gets him a near fall and Davis comes in sending Borden to the corner for some chops. Borden then fights back for a dropkick on Davis. He then goes for a superplex but Alexander stops him, hitting a rack bomb for two before Allin breaks it up at the last second.
Exchange of holds then ends with Allin being tossed over with a German suplex, but Borden hits him with a Scorpion Coffin Drop before Allin leaps through the ropes, keeping Davis away as Borden picks up the win.

After the match, Allin and Borden celebrate their win.
Commentary then hypes up the main event tables match. They also talk about the 3-Way Ladder Match at All Out and we get a video package for the match.
Thekla then appears on the entrance ramp and calls out Mercedes Moné. Thekla says Moné talked about dreams and making moments last Wednesday and she hopes the AEW Women’s World Championship still smells like her. Moné then appears in the crowd to tell Thekla she can’t do it like her. Moné then says she has done a lot in her career and makes it clear she isn’t scared of Thekla. Thekla then calls out Willow Nightingale and says she’s the worst AEW Women’s World Championship of all time, but Nightingale’s music hits and she makes her way out. Thekla then slides out of the ring when Nightingale gets inside and Skye Blue and Julia Hart join her on the entrance ramp.
We then head to the back, where PAC and Daniel Garcia have their concerns about Will Ospreay. So does Kidd, but this is interrupted by the arrival of Ospreay himself. He then looks for a chat alone with Jon Moxley as he reveals that he is not surprised by the announcement last week as he’s the one who asked for this title match. He then sees Moxley as the number one contender since he’s the only man who’s pinned Ospreay this year, but notes that the match will be vastly different from his Continental Title bouts. As Ospreay walks off, Moxley shares a bit of frustration tossing aside a chair before walking off.
Commentary then hypes up the main event coming up next as well as the 3-Way Ladder Match at All Out.
Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher then make their way down to the ring for the main event of the night as commentary brings up Andy “The Butcher” Williams being in the only other team tables match in company history. The Young Bucks then make their way down to the ring to get this match underway.
Tables Match: The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. Don Callis Family (“The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher and “The Jet” Kevin Knight)
The match starts off with Kevin Knight getting sent out of the ring early as the Young Bucks go after Kyle Fletcher in the corner. Knight then tries to get involved but gets sent off the apron, leading to the Young Bucks taking both opponents to the floor. They then grab one of the tables at ringside, but Knight and Fletcher stop a double suplex to regain control. The Young Bucks then fend off Knight before taking Fletcher down with a double team. Knight then comes to his partner’s aid, but the DCF get sent back to the floor as the Young Bucks grab a table, bringing it into the ring to set it up in the corner. Nick then gets sent out of the ring by Knight, who gets caught with a locomotion suplex by Matt.
Fletcher then tries to make the save, but nearly gets taken down when Nick comes back in. Despite some close calls with a table at ringside, DCF regain control as they send the Young Bucks down to the floor. Fletcher and Matt are now in the ring and Matt his Fletcher with a Sliced Bread and a DDT. Knight then comes into the ring but gets fended off by the Young Bucks, who grab a table out of the corner. Fletcher then interrupts, but ends up being sent face first to the canvas. The Young Bucks then set Fletcher up on the ropes and they hit an MMMBop Drop sending Fletcher onto the flattened table. No break there, but the damage is done as they bring Fletcher across the ring for a TK Driver from the apron. Knight then sends Matt off the turnbuckle with a hurricanrana, only for Matt to hit him right back with one on Knight when Fletcher looks for a tombstone on Nick. Matt then follows it up with a suplex dropping Fletcher onto the hardest part of the ring and the Young Bucks have both opponents in the ring.
Knight then starts to fight back, but gets caught with a TK Driver by the Young Bucks. Fletcher then tries to fend them off as well, but takes a BTE Trigger for his troubles. On the apron, we see Knight getting to his feet only for Matt to go for a a sunset powerbomb. A superkick from Nick then allows Matt to send Knight through the table, but Fletcher is able to power back as he sends Nick through a table on the opposite side. This then leaves us with Fletcher and Matt and Matt is hit with a brainbuster by Fletcher. Fletcher then sets up a table in the middle of the ring, only for Matt to slide underneath it before slamming Fletcher onto the table. Matt then hits a superkick to send Fletcher onto the table. Matt then goes up top, but out comes FTR to intervene. Matt then fights them off but is caught once again, this time by Big Stoke allowing Fletcher to hit a superplex driving Matt through the table for the win.

After the match, FTR join Don Callis Family in beating down the Young Bucks some more before Darby Allin and Steven Borden come out for the save with a couple of chairs. FTR and DCF then take their leave as the Young Bucks end up shaking hands with Borden and Allin. Commentary then hypes up next week’s Dynamite lineup along with the tribute to Andy Williams on Collision before Allin and Borden leave the ring to cheers from the crowd and the show comes to a close.
