AEW has locked in a major match for Wednesday’s PAC tribute edition of Dynamite. Tony Khan announced that AEW World Champion Will Ospreay will go one-on-one with Ricochet on the September 30, 2026 episode in Pittsburgh.
The match was announced specifically in honor of PAC, with Khan pointing to both Ospreay and Ricochet’s history with the late AEW star. PAC died at the age of 40 just days before the tribute show. Khan made it clear this wasn’t just another match added to the card.
“2 iconic rivals of late great legend PAC will fight 1-on-1 in honor of our fallen friend on Wednesday Night Dynamite’s PAC Tribute tomorrow! This one’s for Ben.”
The announcement comes after Khan confirmed that the entire September 30 Dynamite will be dedicated to PAC. AEW announced PAC’s death on September 27, one day after he competed at AEW All Out on September 26.
Ospreay vs. Ricochet now gives the tribute show its first major match with a direct connection to PAC’s career. Both men built reputations around the same explosive style that made PAC one of wrestling’s most respected in-ring performers, and AEW is putting that history front and center Wednesday night.
Dynamite airs September 30 at 8 p.m. ET from Pittsburgh, with Ospreay vs. Ricochet now officially set as part of AEW’s night honoring Benjamin Satterley.
