Adriana Rizzo isn’t done with wrestling just because WWE decided to let her go. The former NXT star is already thinking about what’s next, but there’s one thing she needs to get through before she can really start shopping around.

Speaking with Pario Magazine, Rizzo was asked whether she still planned on pursuing wrestling following her WWE release. She revealed that she’s currently waiting out her 30-day period before she starts seriously looking at other opportunities.

“I think, um, right now I’m still within my 30 days, so I haven’t — once I get past the 30 days, I’ll really kind of start looking into options and see what’s out there. So that’s — I’m just kind of waiting until those 30 days are up right now. Yeah.”

So Rizzo isn’t announcing her retirement or walking away from wrestling. She’s basically waiting until she’s free to see who’s interested and what kind of opportunities are sitting out there for her.

Her WWE exit came after a pretty unlucky run in NXT. Dave Meltzer previously reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE saw something in Rizzo, but two straight knee injuries seriously hurt the momentum she had going.

“And then she had two straight knee injuries, and that pretty much killed her.”

The timing got even worse when Tony D’Angelo moved away from the gimmick Rizzo had been attached to. Once that happened, Meltzer said there wasn’t really an obvious spot left for her in the act.

“And with that gimmick that. That left no room for her. And I guess they just made the decision that they didn’t think that she was going to make it.”

Meltzer previously threw AEW and Ring of Honor out there as places that could potentially take a chance on Rizzo, but there’s been no indication that either promotion has actually made a move. Rizzo herself isn’t naming names yet either.

For now, she’s simply counting down those 30 days before seeing who might want to talk. WWE may have pulled the plug on her NXT run, but Rizzo clearly isn’t ready to do the same with her wrestling career.

Where do you think Adriana Rizzo should end up once she’s free to explore her options? Let us know in the comments below.
