Adam Page has finally changed his mind about stepping into another Texas Deathmatch, and it looks like Swerve Strickland and New Level will get exactly what they’ve been asking for at AEW Full Gear.
During the November 4 episode of AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts, tensions between Page and Strickland continued to escalate following yet another violent encounter between the two rivals.
Backstage, Bandido approached Page about the situation and made it clear that he’d had enough of the disrespect Strickland had shown him in recent weeks. Rather than allowing things to continue, Bandido wanted to settle the score in a Texas Deathmatch against Swerve Strickland and New Level at Full Gear.
Page had been reluctant to agree to the stipulation for weeks, but Bandido’s words finally convinced him to change his mind. After resisting the idea for so long, Page gave in and agreed to the Texas Deathmatch.
The decision didn’t take long to become official. Just moments after the backstage segment, Tony Khan and AEW commentary confirmed that the match would take place at Full Gear.
Given the violent history between Page and Strickland, adding a Texas Deathmatch stipulation to the situation creates the possibility of another brutal encounter. Page’s change of heart also means Bandido will get the opportunity to settle his issues with Strickland and New Level.
With the match now confirmed for AEW Full Gear, the question is whether Page and Bandido can finally put an end to their problems with Strickland and New Level. What do you think about Adam Page agreeing to another Texas Deathmatch, and how do you see things playing out at Full Gear?
