Kairi Sane is officially free to make her next move, but she has not signed with another wrestling company yet.
Fightful Select reports that Sane was not backstage at AEW Redemption or Marigold’s event this weekend, despite being contractually cleared to appear. She is currently evaluating her options while several companies have shown interest in bringing her in, including for appearances that would not require a full-time contract.
“Kairi was not at All Elite Wrestling’s Redemption show, or Marigold this weekend, though she was contractually eligible. We’re told that as of now, she’s not signed anywhere and is actively evaluating her future. There is naturally interest from a number of companies, including in non-contracted appearances.”
The update comes after Sane changed her social media bios to list veteran agent Barry Bloom as her manager for business inquiries. Bloom represents several major AEW stars, including Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay and The Young Bucks.
That move immediately sparked questions about a possible AEW jump, especially after Sane’s 90-day non-compete period expired. However, the latest update makes it clear that no deal has been completed. Sane was released by WWE on April 24. Once she officially became a free agent, she posted a brief message teasing that fans would not have to wait long to see her again.
“See you soon.”
Sane originally signed with WWE in March 2017 and remained with the company until her contract expired in December 2021. She later returned to STARDOM before going back to WWE in 2025 as part of Damage CTRL.
AEW and Marigold remain obvious possibilities, but Sane appears to be taking her time before locking herself into another contract. With multiple companies interested and non-contracted appearances also on the table, her next move could come without warning.
