TNA Genesis 2025 is in the rearview mirror now, but the company is far from finished. Hot off the announcement of TNA’s big deal with WWE’s NXT brand, they bid farewell to Jordynne Grace, and Tessa Blanchard gave her a big loss at the last pay-per-view.
During the January 23 episode of TNA Impact Wrestling, Tessa Blanchard made her way out to the ring without about third minutes left in the show. She received a mixed reaction from the Texas crowd, to say the least.
Tessa made it clear that the Blanchard legacy started in Texas, and her family used to own San Antonio. She brought up a few more honorable mentions for her family’s history in the Texas territory. Then she threw shade on San Antonio for not having a good sports team, the Spurs don’t count, and losing the Alamo.
Tessa pointed out that her famous family knew that there was something in her that couldn’t be taught, something better than any Von Erich or “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. She was told from a young age that she was going to be great, and fans booed her out of the building, but Tessa barreled on with her promo.
Blanchard then said that you will hear a lot about her, but you will never hear that she’s not great. She said that beating Jordynne Grace was taking out the trash, and she answers to no one. That was quite a promo, as she further proved that she is a head-seeking magnet.
Tessa Blanchard’s return to TNA Wrestling wasn’t without controversy. She was TNA World Champion when she was released from the company. This came after a ton of stories about her backstage bullying antics and use of the N-Word. Blanchard was called out for spitting on La Rosa Negra and calling her the N-Word while on a tour of Japan. This was followed by a slew of wrestlers coming forward about her backstage bullying.
