AEW Dynamite’s Fight For The Fallen brought the heat on January 1, but it was Ricochet’s shocking post-match assault on Swerve Strickland that stole the show. After a hard-fought 3-Way Match between Swerve, Roderick Strong, and Jay White to determine the #1 spot in next week’s Casino Gauntlet, Ricochet emerged from the crowd and delivered a savage beating that left fans in stunned silence.

The chaos began when Ricochet appeared out of nowhere, wielding a golden pair of scissors. He targeted Swerve, slicing him open with the sharp weapon, leaving Strickland bleeding on the floor outside the ring. Meanwhile, Jay White capitalized on the distraction, pinning Strong to secure his top spot in the Casino Gauntlet.

But Ricochet wasn’t done. As White celebrated briefly, Ricochet continued his relentless assault. Ignoring Prince Nana’s desperate attempts to intervene, Ricochet delivered a vicious headbutt to Swerve before dragging him back into the ring. Setting up a steel chair, Ricochet sat the battered Strickland down and delivered his signature Spirit Gun from the corner, further cementing his dominance.

The scene escalated as The Undisputed Kingdom rushed to the ring to save Swerve. Ricochet, however, calmly exited the chaos, a sinister smile on his face as he surveyed the damage. Strickland lay motionless in the ring as medics rushed to his aid, leaving fans and wrestlers alike shaken by Ricochet’s violent actions.

AEW has now set the stage for what’s sure to be an explosive fallout. With Swerve Strickland’s condition uncertain and Ricochet making a bold statement, the road to next week’s Casino Gauntlet and Jon Moxley’s AEW World Title match just got even more intense.
