AEW Dynamite Debuts New Theme Song For 1/1 Episode

AEW had a lot of eye on them as they rolled into 2025, and the January 1 episode was a packed show. A new theme song was in the works, and they revealed it this week.

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off in a rather surprising way. The company’s flagship song now has The Pointer Sisters’ 1982 hit I’m So Excited as its theme song. This was a big change indeed, and it was hard not to notice.

The previous AEW Dynamite theme song was Pop by Mikey Rukus. This was certainly a different way to go, and it also likely meant that Tony Khan needed to shell out money to get the rights.

This was also a big episode of AEW Dynamite, because it was their yearly Fight For The Fallen event. The company could also have even more eyes on them as the show will be featured on MAX from now on.

We will have to see how long AEW keeps this theme song for Dynamite. It was certainly a notable way to kick off 2025.
