WWE brought a big show for Survivor Series: WarGames this year. Both WarGames matches saw Superstars leave it all in the ring, but the men’s match included several injuries, including Tanga Loa. Now we have a much better idea how long he will be out of commission.
During the December 6 episode of WWE SmackDown, WWE announced three legitimate injuries from the Survivor Series: WarGames match during SmackDown. Those injuries will put three Superstars on the shelf for various lengths of time.
Tanga Loa suffered a torn biceps and has already undergone surgery. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Loa’s recovery time will be around seven to eight weeks.
It was also clarified that Bronson Reed sustained a broken foot, not a broken ankle, during his splash off the cage. Of course, that splash was a very dramatic moment in the match, as CM Punk pulled Roman Reigns to safety as they went toward the finish. As of December 11, it was confirmed Reed will be out for several months. The current expectations are that he will not return until after WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
Jimmy Uso also suffered an injury, but it’s not as bad as the other two. Uce broke his toe on his splash from the top of the cage. This injury was reported the night of the event, as Jey Uso and Sami Zayn helped Jimmy to the back after their WarGames match.
We will have to see how WWE decides to play these situations out. Each one of them will have different recovery times for their injuries, but the Bloodline saga is certainly not over yet. That being said, you never know what is going to happen down the line at this point.
