Bryan Danielson has been dealing with neck issues for a very long time and many fans assumed he would be finally undergoing neck surgery following AEW WrestleDream. However, Danielson has now revealed that he is trying to avoid surgery and only considers it a last resort.

While speaking to Denise Salcedo, Bryan Danielson shared that his neck is still causing him issues, including poor sleep and other related problems. However, he remains in a positive mindset, despite the discomfort.

Danielson compared the experience to the first few weeks of parenting when sleep is scarce, but eventually, you get used to it. Danielson expressed his happiness, especially after spending quality time with his family and children, particularly during Thanksgiving.

“Yeah, so my neck is not great. We were just talking about this not too long ago, and it’s causing me to not sleep well and some other issues. But at the end of the day, I’m happy. At first, it was a little tough because it’s like having a child, for parents out there, it’s like the first three weeks when you’re not sleeping at all. But then you get used to not sleeping very well. So, I’ve just become used to not sleeping, and yeah, I’m happy. I’ve had an incredible time just being with my family and being with the kids, especially since we just had Thanksgiving. It’s been unbelievable.”

Regarding surgery, Danielson revealed that he is trying to avoid it and sees it as a last resort. He mentioned that he is exploring other methods to address the issue, describing himself as a bit unconventional in his approach. He plans to try these alternative options before considering surgery.

“I’m trying to avoid it as much as possible. To me, surgery is a last resort, not a first resort. So, I’m trying some other things. I’m a little kooky, right? People who know me know I’m a little kooky. I’m going to try some other things first before going under the knife. That’s kind of my plan now.”

Bryan Danielson also admitted he is uncertain about his in-ring future in AEW but did confirm he will be present at AEW All In Texas next year. Nonetheless, we’ll have to wait and see whether The American Dragon will opt for neck surgery in the end, as that could put him on the shelf for over a year.
