Fans eagerly awaiting the next installment in the WWE video game franchise now have a clearer picture of when they can expect WWE 2K25 to hit the shelves.
According to a report from Mike Straw, a recent quarterly earnings call from gaming giant Take-Two Interactive revealed significant news about the upcoming release.
During Take-Two Interactive’s Q1 FY2025 earnings call, the company confirmed that WWE 2K25 is set to release in Q4 of 2025. This timeline means fans can expect the game to be available before March 31, 2025.
The call also highlighted the success of WWE 2K24, noting that the game “enhanced its profitability” and was praised as the highest-rated entry in the WWE 2K series. This positive reception has set high expectations for the upcoming release.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of several major publishing labels, including 2K, Zynga, and Rockstar Games, continues to be a dominant force in the gaming industry.
WWE 2K24, which featured cover stars Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair, has continued to expand with the release of various DLC packs. However, the release of the “Pat McAfee and Friends” pack on July 31, 2024, stirred controversy among some fans due to the exclusion of other current WWE talents. This isn’t the first time WWE 2K’s DLC choices have sparked debate, as last month’s addition of Post Malone as a playable character also drew mixed reactions.
As WWE 2K25’s release approaches, fans will be eager to see how the game builds on the success of its predecessor and whether it can continue to raise the bar for the franchise.
