Drew McIntyre had been on a quest to win back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after losing it to Damian Priest at WrestleMania 40. He finally got his chance at Clash at The Castle this week.

There is no doubt that the marquee match for the Clash at The Castle Premium Live Event was Drew McIntyre challenging Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The two titans were in for a fight, and they more than delivered in that regard, as Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre kicked the stuffing out of each other in front of the Scotland crowd.

There was lots of drama throughout the match that kept fans on the edge of their seats as the pendulum shifted many times. CM Punk made his presence felt as the fake referee and hit Drew McIntyre with a low blow.


When all was said and done, it was Damian Priest who ultimately picked up the win and retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship because of CM Punk’s interference. Clearly, fans in attendance were incredibly furious over what transpired.

It has now become abundantly clear that Drew McIntyre and CM Punk will be squaring off against each other soon enough, so we will have to wait and see when Punk will return from injury and reignite their feud after what happened at Clash at The Castle.
