Despite still dealing with multiple injuries and setbacks that derailed his plans to climb Mount Everest, AEW star Darby Allin made his return on Dynamite last week to even the odds for the team set to go head-to-head with The Elite.

During the main event of AEW Dynamite last week, Kazuchika Okada defended his AEW International Championship against Dax Harwood of FTR. After an incredible match, Okada retained his title and The Elite immediately launched a post-match assault. Despite efforts from Cash Wheeler and Bryan Danielson to fend off the attack, they were quickly overpowered.

In a dramatic twist, Darby Allin made a surprise return. Emerging from the crowd, the former TNT Champion attacked The Elite with his skateboard, before being revealed as the new fourth member of Team AEW for Double or Nothing, replacing an injured Eddie Kingston.

Darby Allin is expected to address his return and join Team AEW, for which he arrived in Bakersfield, the sight of AEW Dynamite tonight. However, Allin was spotted arriving in a private jet enclosed in a bodybag, with his hand being only visible as seen on his X.

“Arriving in style for Dynamite in Bakersfield! This weekend at double or nothing shits hitting the fan.”

With Darby Allin added to the mix in a highly important match, we’ll have to see how he will fare in the Anarchy In The Arena match, as it’s expected to be incredibly violent and there’s a risk he could get injured again.
