WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan’s contributions to the world of professional wrestling need no introductions, as he is truly larger than life. With that said, there were talks of Chris Hemsworth starring as The Hulkster in a biopic, but that may not happen anymore.

Chris Hemsworth was set to star as Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic, based on the WWE Hall of Famer’s career. He had been considerably bulking up for the role as well, but fans were uncertain about the biopic’s future.

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff was named as a producer, while Todd Phillips, Scott Silver, and John Pollono were said to be working on the film as the co-writers. However, fans grew concerned when Chris Hemsworth admitted earlier last year that he had no idea what was going on with the biopic.

While speaking to Screen Rant, Chris Hemsworth was asked about working on the Hulk Hogan biopic. The ‘Thor’ star admitted that there is no word that the film will even happen, as nothing has been green-lit yet.

“To work with Todd Phillips, who we discussed making that film with, would be an honor and a fantastic opportunity. I can’t say it’s officially happening yet. If there was a green light, I’d get to work on it. But it’s interesting. Dementus’ vocal quality was something I could invent and it would be surprising to people, but there wouldn’t be any judgment or comparison. It’s a tricky thing to play a real-life character. I’ve done it once before, and people immediately have the measuring stick out and the critiques and so on. It’d be nerve-wracking, but if there’s a great script and a story to tell, I’d love to jump into it. But there’s nothing official at this point.”

This is certainly unfortunate news for fans of the Hulkster who were eagerly waiting for the biopic to release one day. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether the film will ever see the light of day.

What’s your opinion on this unfortunate news? Are you disappointed the Hulk Hogan biopic may never happen? Sound off in the comments!
