Cody Rhodes Comes to Jey Uso’s Aid After Gunther’s Savage Assault Post 5/10 WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion and since then he has been carrying the title with pride. He also has close friends he never fails to protect and that includes Jey Uso, as he saved Uso from Gunther following SmackDown this week.

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown saw Logan Paul being revealed as Cody Rhodes’ next opponent, as the two will battle at the King and Queen of The Ring event in Saudi Arabia on May 25th.

Following the conclusion of Friday Night SmackDown, Gunther squared off against Jey Uso in a singles match. Gunther lost for only the second time against Uso as he used a low blow. Afterwards, Gunther continued to assault Gunther but Cody Rhodes stepped in to stop Gunther, as he made the save for Uso.

It is evident that WWE is slowly but surely building towards a feud between Cody Rhodes and Gunther, but it might still take a while as both Superstars are on different brands. Nonetheless, fans went home happy and that’s what mattered to them.
