Cody Rhodes proved his mantle as a fighting champion following his triumph over The Phenomenal One, AJ Styles at WWE Backlash France. However, the time for celebrations was cut short as his next challenger was already on the horizon.

Tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown opened with General Manager Nick Aldis introducing the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion to the fans in attendance in Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza, Wilkes-Barre, PA, and informing him that his next challenger for WWE King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia has been determined.

Right at that moment, Aldis revealed him to be none other than the WWE United States Champion, Logan Paul. The two champions came face to face with each other inside the ring and immediately, The Maverick began his verbal barrage against Rhodes while trying to prove his supremacy over him.

Furthermore, Logan Paul mentioned that his epic WWE moments of winning at the 2023 Royal Rumble and finishing the story WrestleMania 40 were below his ultimate collision moment with Ricochet and IShowSpeed and his brand PRIME, being the sponsor of the show respectively.

The American Nightmare had heard enough and stated that apart from the respect he had for Logan Paul, Cody Rhodes proclaimed that he was also egotistical and self-centered and used underhanded tactics to retain his title. Furthermore, he stated that at WWE King and Queen of the Ring, he will indeed prove to him that Rhodes was the better champion than Logan Paul ever was.
