Powerhouse Hobbs faced Jon Moxley in an eagerly awaited match on the April 24, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Sadly, it turned out to be Hobbs’ last match for a long time, as he suffered a serious knee injury. In light of his current AEW hiatus, Powerhouse Hobbs vowed to bring hell with him.

As previously reported, Powerhouse Hobbs had suffered knee injury during the match and it was expected to be very serious injury which would put him on the shelf for a long time. It was then reported that Powerhouse Hobbs would definitely require imminent surgery.

Powerhouse Hobbs took to Twitter and opened up about his injury and expressed his thoughts on the long road to recovery. Hobbs acknowledged that he’s determined to return even stronger than before, but also voiced his frustrations about the reality of dealing with injuries in the business, but also vowed to bring hell with him once he’s back.

Not sure what to say. Injuries happen and we deal with them. We recalibrate, we rebuild, we reinvent. The real test is the comeback. I’ve been told I’ll come back like nothing ever happened.

So, why do I feel so angry right now? Why do I feel so disappointed? It’s because that’s all bulls**t. Nobody comes back the same after any injury. The only choice is to come back BETTER.

As I sit here on this Island of Darkness, I have thousands of questions running through my mind nonstop. The doctors tell me not to worry. Just HEAL and RECOVER. They have no idea that this is nothing compared to the hell I’ve been through. Just rest assured when I come back that I’m bringing Hell with me.

It didn’t help that some fans accused Powerhouse Hobbs of getting injured multiple times, when this is only his first injury. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see when Hobbs will be back on AEW television, as fans will definitely miss him.
