Cody Rhodes Expresses Desire to Face LA Knight in Singles Action During Backlash 2024 Press Conference

Backlash 2024 turned out to be a massive PLE with the main event showcasing Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line. After a hard hitting battle in France, the American Nightmare managed to walk out of the show with the gold.

During the WWE Backlash 2024 Post-Show Press Conference, the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes made an appearance. Among other questions, Rhodes was asked who he saw as the next challenger for his Undisputed title following Backlash 2024. 

While The American nightmare gently rolled the dice over to Triple H being the head of content, he stated that he admired LA Knight’s work. Rhodes stated that he saw Knight as a challenger for the Undisputed WWE Champion in the future and a match with him would be something everyone will surely look forward to. 

“LA Knight is somebody that I look at because, I get it, ‘it’s two good guys.’ I understand that. There is a flavor there. There is something about it. When you have that fever, you want to know. ‘I’m the man.’ ‘No, I’m the man.’ All that macho toxic alpha stuff that I still have a bit of, I suppose.”

With Cody Rhodes and LA Knight both being two of the biggest stars on the blue brand currently, a match between both men with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line is bound to happen sometime in the future. It would be interesting to see how things play out once a feud between both men kicks off.
