Throwback Video Confirms The Rock’s Prediction of WWE’s Next Big Star

The Rock not only unleashed a new villain persona, The Final Boss on the entire WWE landscape but also joined the ranks of the corporate structure as a member of the TKO Board last January.

However, The Great One’s eye for talent has always been exceptional and it proved to be accurate in a throwback video with predicting the next top star of the global juggernaut in 2019.

During that interview, The Rock was asked about his perception of the next big thing in WWE. He stated that he spoke with his cousin, Roman Reigns about the topic and revealed Drew McIntyre as his choice.

“Personally I like Drew McIntyre, I think he’s got a great look, great built … and especially as he continue to hold in on his craft and connect with the audience which is always the most important.”

The Final Boss’ prediction indeed turned out to be true as McIntyre is regarded as a top WWE attraction today. Interestingly, it was The Rock who informed the world recently that The Scottish Warrior has finally re-signed with WWE after months of speculation regarding his status with the company.

With Drew McIntyre choosing to stay with the company, it seems that there are big plans in store for him once he heals from his elbow injury and returns to action on WWE’s television programming.
