WWE is drawing close to its second international Premium Live Event, WWE Backlash France, set to take place on May 4, 2024, at the LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu in Lyon Metropolis, France.

So far, only two matches were announced for the show, both being the World Championships bouts for the men’s side. Now, the first title match from the women’s side was announced for WWE Backlash France on tonight’s edition of SmackDown.

Following the announcement of being selected as the #1 pick in the 2024 WWE Draft earlier in the night, the EST of WWE Bianca Belair came out to ringside for an interview with WWE correspondent Kayla Braxton. It was then that Kayla announced that Belair would team up with her close ally, Jade Cargill to battle Asuka and Kairi Sane for their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WWE Backlash France.

With tensions prevalent between Bianca Belair and Damage CTRL for months, she finally has a huge backup in The Storm Jade Cargill to combat them and possibly slither away the championships from The Kabuki Warriors in Lyon, France which could also mark Cargill’s first title match in only months following her WWE debut.
