Randy Orton’s return at Survivor Series last November was met with considerable excitement, as he quickly reestablished himself as one of WWE’s top Superstars. Initially, reports indicated that WWE was planning to change his iconic theme song, “Voices.” However, it was revealed that WWE ultimately decided against it, sticking with Orton’s well-known theme.

It was previously reported that WWE was contemplating music change for Randy Orton. The concept involved initially reverting to his old music to re-establish his presence, followed by the introduction of new tunes in subsequent performances. However, WWE ultimately decided to nix the idea entirely and stick with ‘Voices’ by Rev Theory.

While speaking on the Fightful podcast, Corey Brennan reported that it was Def Rebel who had made the new entrance theme for Randy Orton. However, Orton, Triple H and Michael Hayes rejected the song within 10 minutes of playing it.

”The only thing I can confirm now is that when Randy Orton returned, they considered changing his music. At the time I couldn’t find out who produced it, it was supposed to be a Def Rebel produced remix of Voices. I saw someone say on Twitter ‘Randy probably turned around and said that doesn’t work for me, brother.’ That’s essentially what happened. Randy was not having that theme. It was Randy, Triple H and Michael Hayes. They played it through and within 10 minutes of it being played through, one of my sources was ‘Yeah, that’s not being used.”

Randy Orton himself confirmed there were plans to alter his iconic song. Nevertheless, fans are likely happy Randy Orton didn’t change his song in the end and that is what truly matters.
