With a number of WWE contracts nearing their expiration, details have emerged regarding All Elite Wrestling’s approach to signing free agents. AEW is keenly observing the situation with WWE wrestlers who could potentially become available.

Recently, reports indicated that Finn Balor is expected to sign multi-year contract with WWE. Balor himself has stated that he has no intentions of leaving, reinforcing his commitment to the company.

On the other hand, AEW has already signed major names such as Mercedes Mone, Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay. Therefore, fans started wondering whether AEW would still try to sign more major free agents in the future.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer commented on AEW’s stance, indicating that they are actively monitoring contracts that are coming to an end.

“I know that AEW is looking at people whose contracts are up. Whether they get anyone, I don’t know, but they’re definitely looking.”

Despite the significant investments AEW has made in talents like Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay, and Mercedes Mone, Meltzer notes that AEW is still exploring the possibility of signing other high-profile wrestlers.

“Sometimes you think that they made this big, big investment with Okada, Ospreay and Mercedes and maybe they’re not looking for other people, but they still are.”

AEW has all the momentum in the world right now and so it comes as no surprise the company is still determined to sign more big names to the company whenever possible. We’ll have to wait and see when AEW will sign another major name.
