Swerve Strickland, a notable member of the AEW roster, has captured attention for his exceptional in-ring skills and engaging personality. He is destined for greatness and confirmed he is banged up heading into AEW Dynasty.

Last month, Swerve Strickland earned his coveted one-on-one showdown against Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship at AEW Dynasty and since then the two have been feuding.

Strickland hasn’t wrestled since his victory against Konosuke Takeshita on the March 27 episode of AEW Dynamite, where he earned a title shot. Since then, he has been involved in various physical segments, such as going through a table and suffering a bloody injury during a contract signing.

Speaking on ESPN Opening Drive, Swerve was asked about how his body is holding up after all the years of wrestling. He responded with humor and acknowledged that his body has taken a toll from wrestling and that he still has bruised ribs from several weeks ago. Despite the physical challenges, he seems to take it in stride and remains active in the wrestling scene.

“Pretty bad [laughs]. I’m doing alright. You find your ways…I still have bruised ribs from three or four weeks ago. It’s not easy.”

Only time will tell when the leader of The Mogul Embassy will end up defeating The Samoan Submission Machine for the AEW World Championship, as fans would love to see that happen at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view.
