Roman Reigns has solidified his status as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, but he had to deal with a lot of adversity, especially due to leukemia. The battle is clearly not over as Reigns has confirmed he still has oral chemotherapy for leukemia.

During the main event of WrestleMania 40 Saturday, announcer Pat McAfee said that Reigns was still battling leukemia and this worried fans in a huge way.

During the WrestleMania 40 press conference, Reigns addressed McAfee’s remarks. He emphasized that he is still undergoing oral chemotherapy, which is likely to be a lifelong treatment. Despite this, he expressed gratitude that it doesn’t hinder his ability to perform.

Reigns underscored the importance of health, stating that as long as he can continue to perform, he considers himself fortunate. He reassured everyone that he is still in remission, but acknowledged that this treatment remains a significant aspect of his life.

“I’m still on oral chemotherapy, it’s a medication that I’m going to have to remain on my entire life most likely. It’s just a part of my personal battle. It doesn’t affect me, thank God, I’m still able to perform. I think anybody in my position would say health is wealth. As long as I continue to perform, you already know that’s at bay. We’re good. We’re still in remission. It is something that is still part of my life.”

Reigns took a hiatus from wrestling in October 2018 to confront leukemia but triumphantly announced his remission in February 2019. At WrestleMania 40 on Saturday, he secured victory alongside The Rock in the main event, prevailing over Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. We’ll have to see how things will turn out for Cody Rhodes tomorrow on WrestleMania Sunday, as the stakes are higher than ever now.
