Countdown To WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Kickoff Pre-Show (4/6/2024):

The 2024 Countdown To WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Kickoff Pre-Show opens up with the panel Megan Morant, Sam Roberts and Arianna Grace welcoming us. The panel then talks about today’s main event, which is Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams. We then get footage from earlier today of Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams arriving at the arena and the panel then runs down the card for today’s show.

We then get a video package of the WWE NXT Women’s Championship Match between WWE NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria vs. Roxanne Perez.

We then get footage from earlier today of Lyra Valkyria and Roxanne Perez arriving at the Wells Fargo Center and we return to the panel talking about the WWE NXT Women’s Championship Match. Arianna Grace then thanked the fans for giving her the title of Miss Stand & Deliver. The panel then discusses the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship Match between WWE NXT Tag Team Champions The Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin) vs. Axiom and Nathan Frazer.

The panel then discusses the WWE NXT North American Championship Triple Threat Match between WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi vs. Dijak vs. Josh Briggs and we get a tale of the tape graphic sizing up the three competitors.

We then head to the back, where we see Shawn Spears get ready for his match against Joe Gacy at the Countdown To WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Kickoff Pre-Show and we get a video of The Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin) eating a Philly cheese steak at Geno’s Steaks.

We then get a promo hyping up “The Man” Becky Lynch vs. “Mami” Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania XL and we head to the back, where we see WWE NXT General Manager Ava instructing the referee for the Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams main event matchup that there must be a winner. The panel then sends us to a video package for the WWE NXT Championship Match between WWE NXT Champion “The Mad Dragon” Ilja Dragunov vs. “The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo.

We then see a video from last night of “The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo reflecting on his WWE NXT Championship Match with his Family. D’Angelo says he was ready to go through hell to get the WWE NXT Championship. The camera then reveals that D’Angelo was talking to the iconic Rocky Balboa statue. We then head back to the panel and Arianna Grace has been replaced by Ridge Holland. The panel then discusses the 6-Woman Tag Team Match between Chase U’s Thea Hail, Fallon Henley and Kelani Jordan vs. Jacy Jayne, Kiana James and Izzi Dame.

We then get a video of Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) sizing up the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania XL and the panel introduces us to the commentary team of Vic Joseph, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Wade Barrett as the WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Kickoff Pre-Show Match is about to begin.

We then get the entrances of the WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Kickoff Pre-Show Match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match (Kickoff Pre-Show): Shawn Spears vs. Joe Gacy

The match starts off with Ridge Holland hitting Gacy with a steel chair as Gacy is making his way down to the ring. Holland then walks away after one shot. Gacy then limps to the ring and Spears takes advantage. Spears goes after Gacy, but gets sent out of the ring. Gacy then hits Spears with a Suicide Dive. Spears then hits Gacy off the top rope. Spears then sends Gacy into the ring post. Gacy then responds with a few chops. Both men then chop each other until Spears puts Gacy in a Boston Crab.

Spears then places Gacy on the top rope, but is knocked off. Gacy then hits a Crossbody on Spears, but Spears counters and gets a pin. Gacy then responds with a Saito Suplex. Gacy then hits Spears with a big boot and a German Suplex. Gacy then hits Spears with a springboard Moonsault for a near fall. Gacy then goes for a move to the outside, but Spears stops him and kicks him in the face. Spears then drops Gacy back first on the ring apron. Spears then catches Gacy and hits him with an Impaler DDT for two.

Spears then goes for a C4, but Gacy counters into a Uranage. Spears then gets a near fall ,but Gacy responds with another Uranage for a near fall. Gacy then goes for a Swanton, but Spears moves. Gacy then misses a Swanton, allowing Spears to hit a Pedigree for two. Spears then hits a kick, but Gacy responds with a rolling forearm. Gacy then hits the Upside Down to pick up a win.

We then return to Megan Morant and Sam Roberts, who ran down the WWE NXT Stand & Deliver card one more time before wrapping things up with a video package for the main event between Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams and the WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Kickoff Pre-Show comes to a close.

WWE NXT Stand & Deliver Results (4/6/2024):

The WWE NXT Stand & Deliver PLE opens up with Meta-Four welcoming us to the show and running down the card. We then get a video package hyping up all the big matches for today’s show. Vic Joseph, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T and Wade Barrett then welcomes us to the show and we get the entrances for the first match of the afternoon.

WWE NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Wolf Dogs (Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin) (c) vs. Nathan Frazer and Axiom

The match starts off with Axiom and Frazer blindsiding Breakker and Corbin on the ramp as they fly to get the early advantage on the champions. Axiom then hits a moonsault off the top rope to The Wolf Dogs. Frazer and Axiom then get Breakker inside the ring and the bell officially sounds. Axiom then hits a crossbody off the top rope, then follows that up with a dropkick. Frazer and Corbin then tag in and Frazer hits a DDT on Corbin. Frazer then hits an enzuigiri on Corbin, then tags Axiom back in.

Axiom and Frazer then hit a double superkick before Axiom nails Corbin with a shoulder to his midsection and an enzuigiri to Breakker on the apron. Corbin then hits Axiom with a Death Valley Driver and a vertical suplex. Breakker then turns Axiom inside out with a viscous clothesline. Corbin then tags back in and delivers a couple of right hands on Axiom, then follows that up with a knee to Axiom’s midsection and tags Breakker back in. Breakker then blasts Axiom, but Axiom responds with a couple of chops. Breakker then delivers a knee on Axiom, but Axiom responds with a Spanish Fly.

Corbin and Frazer then tag in and Frazer hits a missile dropkick on Corbin off the top rope. Frazer then looks to follow it up with a springboard moonsault, but Corbin catches him and goes for a cutter. Frazer then counters it into a reverse DDT and a running moonsault, then climbs to the top rope and goes for a Phoenix Splash. Corbin then avoids it and puts Frazer down, then tags Breakker in. Axiom then hits Breakker with a dropkick and climbs to the second rope. Breakker then puts Axiom down with a hurricanrana and Corbin nails him mid-air.

Axiom and Breakker then exchange strikes in the middle of the ring before Axiom hits a German suplex on Breakker. Frazer then hits an enzuigiri on Corbin and Breakker hits a gut-buster on Frazer. Breakker then climbs to the top, but Axiom hits him with an enzuigiri. Frazer then tags in and Axiom hits Breakker with a Spanish Fly off the top rope. Frazer then follows tat up with a Phoenix Splash and goes for a pin, but Breakker kicks out. Corbin then sends Axiom crashing into the mat as Breakker sends Frazer crashing off the top rope. Corbin then climbs to the top rope and hits a splash, then goes for a pin, but Frazer kicks out.

Frazer then rolls out of the ring and Breakker goes for a Spear. Axiom then pulls Frazer out of the ring and Breakker is sent crashing into the ring steps. Corbin then sends Axiom and Frazer crashing over the announce desk, but the two quickly recover and take Corbin down. Frazer and Axiom then get Corbin back in the ring and Frazer tags in. Axiom then hits the Golden Ratio on Corbin and Frazer follows that up with a Phoenix Splash. Frazer then goes for a pin, but Corbin kicks out. Axiom then hits Breakker with a kick and a superkick, then looks to nail Corbin with a Tornado DDT. Corbin then counters and sends Axiom crashing into the mat with the End Of Days. Corbin then looks to hit his finisher on Frazer, but Frazer escapes. Breakker then hits Frazer with a Spear and Corbin pins him for the win.

We then get footage of Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams arriving at the arena, then we head to the back and see Meta-Four standing outside Oba Femi’s locker room to try and get a word with the WWE NXT North American Champion. Femi then storms out of his locker room and takes out Mensah with the door.

We then see a guy in a Knuckles the Echidna costume fist-bumping Vic Joseph as the next match is sponsored by the new Knuckles show on Paramount+.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is the WWE NXT North American Championship Triple Threat Match.

WWE NXT North American Championship Triple Threat Match: Oba Femi (c) vs. Dijak vs. Josh Briggs

The match starts off with Femi hitting a clothesline to Briggs and sending him out of the ring. Briggs then hits an elbow strike on Femi, then looks to land a boot to Femi’s midsection with some help from Dijak. Femi then catches them both and sends the both of them crashing into the mat, but Briggs and Dijak still manage to land double boots on Femi’s head. Briggs and Dijak then work together to hit Femi with a series of strikes and they send Femi crashing out of the ring. Dijak then hits Briggs with a superkick on the ring apron and looks to fly. Femi then catches Dijak and Briggs tries to fly and land on both Femi and Dijak. Femi then uses Dijak to take Briggs out mid-air and sends Dijak crashing on top of him.

Femi then throws one of the chairs from the announce desk on top of Briggs. Dijak then hits forearm strikes on Femi and superkicks him on the chair, then climbs to the top rope. Briggs then pulls Dijak off and chokeslams him on top of Femi. Briggs then sends Femi back in the ring and hits him with a couple of boots to his jaw. Briggs then looks to fly off the second rope, but Femi nails him mid-air. Briggs then goes for a chokeslam, but Femi prevents him from doing so. Dijak and Briggs then hit a double chokeslam to Femi and pin him, but Femi kicks out. Dijak and Briggs then lands right hands on Femi’s spine, but Femi hits them both with a double chokeslam. Femi is now on the apron with Dijak and both men exchange strikes. Briggs then sends Femi crashing on top of the apron, then stops a flying Dijak with a boot to his face inside the ring.

Briggs then climbs to the ropes and Femi joins him up there. Dijak then hits a superkick to the both of them that sends Femi crashing to the outside, then he joins Briggs on the top. Briggs then manages to spin Dijak inside out with a clothesline from the top rope and goes for a pin, but Dijak gets his boot on the second rope to break the fall. Briggs then delivers some strikes on Femi, but Dijak hits a series of chops to both men. Briggs then hits some elbows to Femi and Dijak, but Femi hits a double chop to Femi and Dijak. All three men now continue to brawl before Dijak hits a boot to Briggs and goes for a pin. Briggs then kicks out and Dijak delivers chops on his chest. Briggs then hits a clothesline on Dijak’s spine and delivers some chops on him in the corner, but Dijak hits him with a sit-out chokeslam and goes for a pin. Briggs then kicks out and looks to put Dijak down, but Dijak counters into a Canadian Destroyer and goes for a pin, however Briggs kicks out once again.

Dijak then gets Briggs up on his shoulders and climbs to the top rope. Femi then gets both men in an Electric Chair position and sends them both crashing into the mat with a Death Valley Driver. Femi then pins Briggs, but Dijak breaks the fall. Dijak then hits Femi with a couple of boots on his jaw, then nails him with a spinning boot and gets him up on his shoulders. Dijak then hits Femi with Feast Your Eyes and goes for a pin, but Briggs hits a moonsault off the top rope to break the fall. Dijak then hits him with a boot, then nails him with Feast Your Eyes for a second time and goes for a pin. Briggs then pulls the referee out of the ring to keep him from counting the fall before Dijak flies over the top rope to level him. Dijak then sends Femi colliding with the ring post and Briggs sends him crashing through the barricade near the timekeeper’s area. Dijak then looks to hit Feast Your Eyes on Briggs, but Briggs catches his knee. Dijak then gets Briggs back inside the ring and hits him with a second Feast Your Eyes. He then goes for a pin, but Femi grabs Dijak to break the fall and powerbombs him on top of Briggs. Femi then pins Briggs for the win.

“The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo is then shown in his locker room with the rest of his family as he is preparing for his WWE NXT Championship Match against Ilja Dragunov later this afternoon.

We then head to the back, where we see Meta-Four looking to get a word with Kelani Jordan, Fallon Henley and Thea Hail. Duke Hudson tells him that he doesn’t think it’s a good idea, but Dar still proceeds to ask Hail if she really thought Jacy Jayne was ever her friend. Hail then goes to attack Dar, but Jordan, Henley and the rest of Chase U hold her back.

We then get the entrances for the next match, which is a 6-Woman Tag Team Match.

6-Woman Tag Team Match: Chase U’s Thea Hail, Fallon Henley and Kelani Jordan vs. Jacy Jayne, Kiana James and Izzi Dame

The match starts off with James, Dame and Jayne getting control early on, attacking their opponents from behind and continuing the beatdown at ringside. Dame then attacks Henley in the ring, but quickly tags in James, who gets in a few hits before tagging Jayne in. Jordan then breaks up their momentum, allowing Henley to tag Hail in. Hail then hits a dive off the top rope. Jayne then heads outside of the ring to get away and Hail goes for another dive, but she lands on a member of Chase U instead. This then allows Jayne to regain control of the match and send Hail back in the ring.

Hail then manages to get a tag to Jordan, who takes control of the match for a while before Dame gets involved and puts things back in her team’s favor. The heels then double-team Jordan for a while and James puts her in an abdominal stretch. Jordan then escapes, but is unable to make a tag and the beatdown continues. Jordan then finally makes a tag to Henley and she unloads on both Dame and James. Jayne then comes in and gets involved and Henley takes her down as well. Henley then hits James with a suplex and goes for the cover, but Jayne breaks it up.

James then hits Henley with a top rope Spanish Fly, but Henley kicks out at two. Jayne and Hail then end up being the legal women in the ring. James and Dame are then laid out at ringside and Jayne has no one to tag. Hail and Jayne then start exchanging strikes and Hail gets the advantage. Hail then hits Jayne with a Lou Thesz Press and lands some punches on her. James then pulls Hail out of the ring and this allows Jayne to make the tag to Dame. Dame then gets put in a Kimura lock by Hail and Dame taps out.

The winners of the 6-Woman Tag Team Match, Chase U’s Thea Hail, Fallon Henley and Kelani Jordan!

After the match, Chase U, Kelani Jordan and Fallon Henley celebrate in the ring.

We then head to the back, where WWE NXT General Manager Ava says she believes the women are the backbone of NXT. Ava then announces that they will soon crown the first-ever NXT Women’s North American Champion.

Former STARDOM Star Giulia is then shown in the crowd with William Regal and Rossy Ogawa ahead of the WWE NXT Women’s Championship Match.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is the WWE NXT Women’s Championship Match.

WWE NXT Women’s Championship Match: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Roxanne Perez

The match starts off with Perez immediately targeting Valkyria’s injured arm. Both women then trade holds until Valkyria almost ends the match with a roundhouse kick. Both women then trade another series of moves trying to one-up each other. Valkyria then gets out of an armlock by sending Perez to the outside. Valkyria then dropkicks Perez through the ropes. Perez then gets control of the match and immediately works on the injury of the champion. Perez then looks to stomp Valkyria’s arm, but Valkyria counters it into a pin attempt. Perez then hits the armbreaker on Valkyria and the crowd starts to chant ‘Break her arm!” Perez then switches it up with a shoulder stretch on the mat.

Valkyria then escapes out of the hold, but Perez sends her shoulder first into the second turnbuckle. Valkyria then gets a two-count and goes for a crossbody, but Perez prevents it and almost locks in another arm submission. Both women then hit each other with a double crossbody and fall to the mat. Valkyria then lands a series of strikes on Perez before hitting her with a Northern Lights Suplex. Valkyria then goes for a Fisherman’s Buster, but doesn’t hit it the first time. Valkyria then hits the Fisherman’s Buster for a near fall. Both women then trade slaps on the top turnbuckle. Valkyria then goes for a Sunset Flip Bomb, but Perez holds on to the ropes. Valkyria then hits a running powerbomb for two.

Valkyria then goes for a move between the ropes, but is caught with a punch. Perez then hits a Suicide Dive into a Tornado DDT on the outside. Both women then trade a few strikes until Perez hits Pop Rox. Valkyria then kicks out and Perez is angry. Perez then sends Valkyria into the second turnbuckle and then the ring post. Perez then tries to unhook a rope, but Tatum Paxley makes her way out. Perez then kicks Paxley off the apron. Perez is then unable to stomp on Lyra’s arm to cause further damage and sends Valkyria into Paxley on the outside. Perez then wrenches Valkyria’s arm against the ring post. Perez then counters into an armbar, but Valkyria escapes. Valkyria then hits a roundhouse for a near fall.

Valkyria then goes to the top rope for a splash, but Perez stops her. Both women then trade pin attempts with Valkyria hitting a German Suplex to send Perez across the ring. Valkyria then places Perez on her shoulders for a move, but Perez transitions into a Poison Rana. Perez then hits Valkyria with Pop Rox and locks in a Crossface submission. Valkyria then taps and Perez scores the win.

The winner and new WWE NXT Women’s Champion, Roxanne Perez!

After the match, Perez celebrates her win and we see Giulia looking on from the front row.

We then head to the back, where we see WWE NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov preparing for his WWE NXT Championship Match against “The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is the WWE NXT Championship Match.

WWE NXT Championship Match: “The Mad Dragon” Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. The D’Angelo Family’s “The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo

The match starts off with both men spilling to the outside twice. Both men then trade clotheslines and strikes in the middle of the ring. Dragunov then goes for a move, but buckles under the pressure of his injured hand. D’Angelo then takes advantage with a Superman Punch. Dragunov then goes for a move through the ropes, but can’t complete it due to his finger hurting. D’Angelo then hits a Gut-wrench Suplex on Dragunov and both men crash and fall to the outside of the ring.

Dragunov then delivers a few chops to D’Angelo, but hits the steel ring post on the final chop. D’Angelo then slams Dragunov back-first into the ring post. Dragunov then drops D’Angelo on his back on the outside. Both men then re-enter the ring and Dragunov hits a series of German Suplexes on D’Angelo. Dragunov then hits a pop-up Enziguiri on D’Angelo followed by a running knee for a two count. Dragunov then hits D’Angelo with a clothesline for a near fall. Dragunov then goes for a Sunset Flip Bomb off the top rope, but instead hits a power bomb on D’Angelo halfway across the ring. Dragunov then goes for the H-Bomb, but D’Angelo stands up to prevent it. Stacks then hands D’Angelo some brass knucks, but D’Angelo hands them back to Stacks. Dragunov then stomps on Stacks’ hands.

Dragunov then lands a bunch of chops on D’Angelo in the corner before hitting him with forearms to the back of his head. Dragunov then does it once more in front of Stacks’ face as he is daring Stacks to do something about it, but D’Angelo tells Stacks to stand down. D’Angelo then hits a headbutt on Dragunov before nailing him with a Thesz Press. Dragunov then hits two kicks on D’Angelo, but they didn’t seem to faze him. Dragunov then hits a suplex and a belly-to-belly on D’Angelo.

Dragunov then hits a kick to D’Angelo’s head, but D’Angelo stops Dragunov’s momentum with a Lariat. D’Angelo then hits a German Suplex on Dragunov as Dragunov clutches his fingers. D’Angelo then hits a huge throw on Dragunov off the top rope, sending him out of the ring on the opposite side. Both men then both clear the announce tables. Both men then trade shots in front of the Spanish Announce table. D’Angelo then goes for a powerbomb, but Dragunov hits him with an H-Bomb. Dragunov then places D’Angelo on the Spanish Announce table and climbs on the ringside barricade. Dragunov then hits an H-Bomb on D’Angelo to break the table. Dragunov then sends D’Angelo back in the ring. Dragunov then hits a Senton on D’Angelo off the top rope for a near fall. D’Angelo then stomps on Dragunov’s hand and then Curb Stomps him with Dragunov’s mouth on the second rope. D’Angelo then hits a Uranage on Dragunov for a near fall. Both men then trade slaps until D’Angelo gets a near fall with a roll-up. Dragunov then hits Torpedo Moscow on D’Angelo. Dragunov then climbs to the top rope and hits a Super H-Bomb to D’Angelo for the win.

The winner and still WWE NXT Champion, Ilja Dragunov!

After the match, Dragunov and D’Angelo show each other respect and shake hands.

We then head to the back, where we see Lyra Valkyria icing her face. Tatum Paxley then runs in to check on her, but Lyra was angry and says it wasn’t the time, then she storms off.

We then get a video package on Je’von Evans.

Meta-Four then make their way down to the ring before the main event to announce that Stand & Deliver broke the all-time attendance record with 16,545 fans.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes

The match starts off with Hayes mocking Williams. Hayes then slaps the back of Williams’ head after hitting some counters. Hayes then slaps the face of Williams. Williams then pulls Hayes out of the ring. The fight then spills into the crowd and the referee runs after them. The fight then lands in front of Williams’ dad and brother and Hayes slaps the hat Williams’ dad is wearing. Hayes then hits a jumping clothesline on Williams. While the referee is checking on Williams, Hayes starts to untie one of the turnbuckle pads. Hayes then kicks Williams down and he hits the exposed turnbuckle as he falls. Hayes then continues to work on Williams’ mid-section.

Hayes then hits a Basement Dropkick to Williams’ ribs. Williams then hits an uppercut on Hayes. Both men then trade back elbows before falling as they are both attempting dropkicks at the same time. Both men then end up on their knees and Hayes goes for a low blow, but Williams stops it. Williams hits Hayes with a few scissor kicks and a Flapjack, but Hayes counters with a spinning pancake. After a few counters, Williams hits a neckbreaker and a big boot on Hayes for two.

Williams then misses a kick, but Hayes is able to hit a kick on Williams. Both men then land in front of the commentary table. Hayes then hits a springboard clothesline on Williams. Hayes then lands a Frog Splash on Williams for a two count. Williams then fights back with a clothesline, but he runs into a Codebreaker from Hayes for a two count. Williams then goes for a splash, but the referee gets hit instead. Hayes then hits a chop block on Williams and grabs a chair from under the ring.

Both men then play tug of war with the chair, but it ends up with Williams. Williams then hits Hayes with the chair several times. The referee then grabs it, but Hayes kicks Williams down low while the referee’s back is turned. Hayes then taunts Williams, but Williams slaps him in the face. Hayes then goes to the top and hits Nothing But Net on Williams. A second referee then comes out to count the fall, but Williams kicks out. Hayes then grabs the chair again and the referee grabs it from him. Williams then hits a running knee on Hayes to pick up the win.

After the match, Williams celebrates his win on the ropes as Hayes gathers himself on the outside of the ring and the show comes to a close.
