Trent Beretta has been associated with Chuck Taylor, Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander since the very beginning of AEW, as they were all known as Best Friends. That is no longer the case as Beretta turned heel on Orange Cassidy on Dynamite this week and now he gave his first comments on the matter.

As seen on this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, The Young Bucks and Best Friends collided in the semi-final match of the ongoing AEW World Tag Team Championships tournament.

In the closing moments of the match, The Bucks strategically shoved Trent Beretta into the exposed turnbuckle, creating an opportunity for them to secure the pinfall and emerge victorious. Shockingly, Trent Beretta delivered a dropkick to his own partner Orange Cassidy after the loss, signaling the end of their alliance.

As revealed by AEW’s Twitter account, an interviewer caught up with Beretta after his betrayal and he simply refused to say anything. He was then comforted by Kris Statlander over his actions and then he whispered something into her ear, which left her puzzled as he left the scene.
