CM Punk’s entrance into AEW initially sparked significant excitement, hinting at a promising new chapter in his career. However, the excitement was short-lived, and Punk’s time in AEW took a downward turn, leading to him sharing his thoughts on the experience during an interview on the MMA Hour. In response to Punk’s remarks, Tony Schiavone has now addressed what Punk had to say.

In groundbreaking interview with Ariel Helwani, CM Punk delved into his WWE return, departure from AEW, and a range of other topics. The interview provided a comprehensive exploration of recent controversies and offered valuable insights into his professional journey.

During the interview, Punk mentioned that Tony Schiavone had reached out to him for assistance when Jack Perry, also known as Jungle Boy, was expressing frustration towards Tony, Mike Mansury, and a doctor at the second episode of Collision. This occurred after Perry’s request to smash out the window of a rental car with a pipe for a storyline angle was denied.

On the latest What Happened When podcast, Tony Schiavone was asked for his thoughts on CM Punk’s remarks. The AEW commentator made it clear he couldn’t care less what Punk had to say.

“I really don’t give a sh*t about it. I’m not going to get into this. I know what he said and let him continue to talk if he wants. That’s all I got. I don’t give a sh*t. That’s all I can say. I can’t get into that. It would be stupid for me to get into that. I have no idea what he said with the exception of someone who told me, ‘Oh, he brought up your name and here’s what he said’, and I went, ‘So what. So f**king what.’

”That’s what I’m saying. So what. If he was critical of me, people would say, ‘Oh, Schiavone on his podcast is going to defend himself.’ I have nothing to defend.”

Even Eddie Kingston shared his thoughts on what CM Punk had to say. We have also reported WWE and AEW’s reactions to CM Punk’s explosive interview. Nevertheless, Punk truly opened up a can of worms and nothing will change that.
