A huge opportunity presented itself in the final weeks of the road to WrestleMania 40 and it was Austin Theory and Grayson Waller who seized it for themselves as they are now one step closer to the high-stakes tag team title match.

During tonight’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown, the young upstarts joined forces to battle the veteran tag team of The Good Brothers, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as part of the SmackDown tag team tournament to claim the spot in the highly anticipated 6-pack tag team ladder match for the Undisputed tag team titles at WrestleMania 40.

Having already qualified for the NXT tag team championship match at Stand and Deliver this week, Gallows and Anderson seemed to clinch another major opportunity on the road to the Biggest WrestleMania of all time.

The match was nothing short of a fast-paced tag team showdown, with both teams trying to knock off each other to make it ahead and claim the significant WrestleMania spot. In the end, a Magic Killer attempt was stopped by Grayson Waller, and a timely roll-up with some leverage of the ropes by Theory gave him and Waller the win.

With this victory, Waller and Theory would now compete against the winner of the other bracket match in the final round, with the winner of the match earning one of the spots in the ladder match where Finn Balor and Damien Priest would be defending their titles against 5 of the best tag teams in WWE today.
