Sonya Deville suffered an ACL tear after injuring herself on the July 28th episode of SmackDown. She is currently rehabbing her injury and has now admitted she still doesn’t trust her ACL.

The star faced a setback in her WWE career, having to leave the company to recover from an injury, which occurred just after winning her first title. Unfortunately, she had to vacate her tag team title and prioritize her recovery from an ACL injury. On the August 14 edition of RAW, Piper Niven replaced her as champion, while Chelsea Green retained her title.

On Instagram, Sonya Deville opened up about her ongoing struggles with working out due to her recovering ACL. She vulnerably shared that she still couldn’t fully trust her ACL. However, after doing jumps and agility footwork drills, she felt much better about her progress, indicating signs of recovery.

“Today we did a lot of jumping which I’m not going to lie, was pretty daunting at first. Because my ACL is still recovering, and I don’t trust it that much. But once I did a couple of reps I got the hang of it and was getting a lot more confident. Actually, feeling pretty good about it. Then we did some agility footwork drills, which again were pretty awkward at first because my leg is not used to moving that fast. It felt pretty good once I got started.”
