Former WWE Superstar Buff Bagwell didn’t have a very memorable career in the Vince McMahon-led company. One of the biggest matches of his career was against Booker T in 2001 which eventually led to being very poor. However, Bagwell had a backstage issue with WWE Icon, Shane ‘Hurricane’ Helms, which was seemingly the reason the former got fired from the company.

In an earlier episode of his Dark Side of the Ring podcast, Bagwell revealed that Hurricane called him a drug addict during a training session confrontation which eventually turned into chaos with the former slapping Hurricane. As per Bagwell’s revelation, he was blamed to start the action off backstage and was fired from the company due to that reason.

Addressing the allegations, Shane Helms took to X to reveal his side of the story. The children’s favorite revealed that Bagwell was completely lying and that witnesses from the scene would also disagree with his comments.

“I didn’t either. Buff is a lying POS. Always has been. There were witnesses there and NONE agree with Buff.”

While the real story of their backstage confrontation might not come out to the millions around the world anytime soon, it is clear that the issue between both men wasn’t very small. Ringside News will keep you posted with any updates on this story.
