Gunther Reacts to Drama Surrounding Controversial Finish to WWE RAW Match

Gunther has a target on his back as he is the Intercontinental Champion, but he welcomes the challenge. The ending to the gauntlet match on RAW this week has given rise to controversy and Gunther has reacted to the same.

In this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Ricochet, JD McDonagh, Sami Zayn, Bronson Reed, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Chad Gable competed in a gauntlet match to determine the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship.

Ultimately, Sami Zayn emerged victorious, securing his spot to face Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40. However, controversy ensued as pictures revealed that Chad Gable, the one Sami Zayn pinned, had his shoulders up at the crucial moment.

While it’s uncertain if WWE will address this issue, Gunther responded to the controversy surrounding the title shot on Twitter. He posted a picture of himself smiling with the title, jokingly remarking on the drama surrounding it.

“So much drama.”

It was previously reported that the gauntlet match had undergone multiple changes before the show. It remains to be seen how WWE will address this controversy in the end.
