It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means! The Big Business episode of AEW Dynamite will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the March 13, 2024 episode.

AEW Dynamite Big Business Results (3/13/2024):

The show opens up with Renee Paquette welcoming us. A Mercedes Benz then pulls up into the arena and the back door opens up, but the person inside is not shown. Commentary then hypes up the card for tonight’s show.

The CEO’s music then hits and Mercedes Moné makes her way down to the ring.

The fans chant “CEO” and she is overcome with emotion. Moné says she is home and her heart is beating out of her chest. Moné then thanks the fans for having her back and giving her the courage and strength to be here. Moné then says she will make plenty of magic and she thanks the fans again. Moné also says tonight means a lot to her and wrestling means a lot to her. Moné also says wrestling has changed her life. Moné then says Eddie Guerrero has helped her see that she could do this one day. Moné then reflects on leading a women’s evolution. Moné also reflects on her past success and her road up to this point. Moné also says she needs to be here and she wants to be here.

Moné then calls AEW the only place where this revolution can be global and they are going to make that happen. Moné then says she is looking forward to mixing it up with the roster. Moné then calls Willow Nightingale out and says they have unfinished business. Moné then says she is All Elite. Moné then thanks Tony Khan and the fans and calls herself the new CEO.

We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette is interviewing AEW World Champion Samoa Joe. Joe previews his upcoming AEW World Championship Match against Wardlow and says Wardlow is overdue as he owes him a debt. Joe then says that he doesn’t lose titles at the TD Garden.

Adam Cole is then shown reading from a book. Cole reads a story about Wardlow that highlights his road up to this point. Cole says Wardlow was missing a kingdom of brethren and he found one in the Undisputed Kingdom. Cole then calls Wardlow a dominant beast and says he will slay the beast to complete the prophecy.

We then get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is the AEW World Championship Match.

AEW World Championship Match: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Wardlow

The match starts off with Wardlow taking the fight to Joe and sending the AEW World Champion into the barricade. Joe then tries to get back in the match, but Wardlow slams him. Wardlow then continues to control the match, but Joe hits him with a series of strikes. Joe then hits Wardlow with a back elbow. Joe then delivers a flurry of strikes on Wardlow. Wardlow then takes Joe down with a dive off the top rope. Both men then trade shots and Wardlow gains the upper hand. Wardlow then continues to control the match and gets a two count with a shoulder block.

Joe then tries to get back in the match and both men trade shots. Wardlow then fakes a knee injury to lure Joe in and gouges his eyes. Wardlow then hits Joe with a knee strike and gets a two count. Joe then evades a senton and punches Wardlow in the corner, but Wardlow powerbombs him. Joe then counters a powerbomb attempt from Wardlow and goes for the Coquina Clutch. Joe puts Wardlow in the Coquina Clutch and Wardlow passes out.

After the match, Swerve Strickland makes his way out and takes out some security, who are holding him back. Swerve then gets stopped by security and Joe leaves with a smile on his face.

We then head to the back, where Alex Marvez tries to interview The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson and “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada). The Young Bucks start off by saying Okada’s passport says “The Rainmaker” on it, so he should be shown respect. Matthew Jackson then highlights their synergy and their friendship. Okada then says he is coming for Penta El Zero Miedo, PAC and Eddie Kingston. Okada then tells Marvez to sing happy birthday to Matthew and Marvez does.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Trios Match.

Trios Match: The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson and “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada) vs. AEW Continental Crown Champion Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo and “The Bastard” PAC

The match starts off with Eddie Kingston and Kazuchika Okada. Okada tags out to Matthew Jackson and both men square off. PAC then tags in and both men go back and forth. PAC then gains the upper hand and Penta and Nicholas tags in. Penta then hits Nicholas with a thrust kick. PAC and Penta then double team Nicholas and they hit Matthew with some tandem offense as well. Okada and Kingston then exchange strikes and The Elite takes control of the match as they isolate Kingston.

Kingston then tries to get back in the match and hits an exploder suplex. Okada and Nicholas then take PAC and Penta out and Matthew gains the upper hand. Penta then tags in and clears house with a flurry of offense. Penta then lands a kick on Okada. PAC then tags in and hits Okada with a missile dropkick. PAC and Penta then dive on top of their opponents at ringside. Kingston and Okada then go back and forth. Nicholas then hits Penta with a superkick. Kingston then sends Nicholas into the ropes. Nicholas then kicks Kingston below the belt and Okada hits Kingston with his Rainmaker finisher for the win.

After the match, Okada raises the AEW Continental Crown Championship and takes a long good look at the title as he clearly has his sights set on the gold next.

We then get a video package highlighting the feud between “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland and AEW TNT Champion Christian Cage ahead of their championship rematch next week.

“The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay then makes his way down to the ring next to address the AEW fans.

Ospreay is here to discuss his upcoming match against “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynasty. The fans start a “Bruv” chant as Ospreay looks ahead to facing Danielson. Ospreay says he is glad Danielson is a fan of his work. Ospreay then says Danielson told him to prove that he is the best in the world. Ospreay then brings up the controversy surrounding the Tiger Driver ’91 and says it was worth it. Ospreay then says the match against Danielson means a lot to him. Ospreay then brings up the “Restore the feeling” phrase and says, “Bruv, I am the feeling.”

Ospreay then says that the match will be what AEW is all about as it will pit two of the best wrestlers in the world against each other. Ospreay then says it will be about proving who the best wrestler in the world is and he is on another level.

We then head to the back, where “The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo says if AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm and Mariah May think this is over between the two of them, they are wrong. Purrazzo also says if it is a numbers game they want, she has no problem finding a partner for next week. Purrazzo then tells Storm and May to watch for the shoe as she is going to stick it straight up their ass.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Darby Allin vs. ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion “Switchblade” Jay White

The match starts off with White taking Allin to the mat and controlling the action early on. Allin then responds with a dropkick that sends White into the corner. Allin then dives onto White at ringside. Allin then takes White down with another dive, sending White into the barricade. Allin then sends White into the barricade. White then suplexes Allin onto a chair. White then Irish whips Allin into the steel steps and Allin lands hard on the floor.

White then continues to control the match, then mocks “The Icon” Sting and goes for the Stinger Splash, but Allin tries to get some momentum back. Allin then evades the Bladerunner and hits White with an over-the-shoulder stunner. Allin then goes for a Coffin Drop from the ropes, but White turns it into a German suplex. Allin then hits the Scorpion Death Drop on White. Allin then goes for the Coffin Drop on the apron, but White moves and Allin lands hard and crashes down onto the floor. Allin then gets back in the ring before he is counted out, but White hits Allin with his Bladerunner finisher for the win.

After the match, White offers his hand to Allin, but as Allin goes to shake White’s hand he changes it to a gun sign and The Gunns attack Allin. The Gunns then trap one of Allin’s legs in a chair as they get the baseball bat, but The Acclaimed make their way down to the ring and stop The Gunns from inflicting damage. White then blasts “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn with a chair shot. The Acclaimed is then left laying as well with shots from a baseball bat and the titles. Allin then gets dragged back into the ring as Bullet Club Gold put his ankle back into the chair and White nails the baseball bat onto it.

We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Match: FTW Champion HOOK and “Lionheart” Chris Jericho vs. Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona)

The match starts off with HOOK and Chris Jericho taking control early on with a double suplex on Kaun. The Gates of Agony then overpower Jericho as Liona sends him off the apron and onto the floor. Liona then sends Jericho into the commentary desk as the Gates of Agony maintain the advantage. Liona and Kaun then isolate Jericho and keep him grounded. Jericho then tries to get back in the match and tags HOOK in, who cleans house with a flurry of offense. HOOK then hits some suplexes on Kaun and Liona, but Kaun gains the upper hand. HOOK then counters a double team move from Kaun and. Liona. Jericho then takes Liona out and HOOK puts Kaun in the Redrum for the win.

We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette is interviewing Kyle O’Reilly. Paquette asks O’Reilly about the landscape of AEW. O’Reilly says that the past two years were some of the darkest days of his life, even being unable to pick up his daughter. O’Reilly also says AEW has the most competitive roster in the sport and he has been looking at a guy on the roster who could bring out the best in him, that being Bryan Keith and O’Reilly talks about their match this coming Saturday on Collision. Roderick Strong then screams and tells O’Reilly if he wants to do things on his own, he respects that. Strong, Taven and Bennett then welcome O’Reilly back. They hug and Strong then walks away after Bennett and Taven gives O’Reilly a fist bump.

We then get a video package for the main event, which is Willow Nightingale vs. Riho. Riho is then shown warming up backstage when she is approached by Mercedes Moné, who tells Riho she is excited about her match, then wishes her good luck.

Chris Jericho and HOOK are then asked about their win. Jericho says HOOK rose to the occasion and he has future world champion written all over him. Jericho then says he needs to know what it’s like to face HOOK and he challenges HOOK to a match next week.

We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a Singles Match.

Singles Match: Willow Nightingale vs. Riho

The match starts off with Nightingale and Riho going back and forth and they are evenly matched early on. Nightingale then gains the upper hand and she overpowers Riho and hits her with a suplex. Riho then tries to get back in the match and hits a Tiger Feint Kick on Nightingale. Riho then hits Nightingale with a diving crossbody and gets a two count. Riho then hits Nightingale with a Northern Lights Suplex. Nightingale then hits a Pounce on Riho. Riho then takes control of the match and both women battle on the apron. Riho then hits a dragon suplex on Nightingale. Nightingale then knocks Riho down with a clothesline and hits her Doctor Bomb finisher for the win.

After the match, Nightingale check on Riho and hugs her. The lights then go out and AEW TBS Champion Julia Hart appears when they come back on. Skye Blue and Julia Hart then attack Nightingale and Mercedes Moné makes her way down to the ring to make the save. Moné fights off Hart and Blue and raises Nightingale’s arm and stands tall. Moné then dances and continues to celebrate as the show comes to a close.
