RVD is regarded as one of the all-time greats, and he has worked with numerous top names throughout his career, and that includes Paul Heyman. Ahead of Heyman’s Hall of Fame induction, RVD claimed that Heyman was initially disrespected in WWE.

As previously mentioned, Paul Heyman is slated to be honored with induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. This development comes as no shock to those familiar with his career, considering his significant contributions to WWE programming over the course of several years.

RVD flourished under Paul Heyman’s guidance, achieving success in both the original ECW and WWE. In recent Wrestle Binge interview, the former World Champion expressed his contentment with Heyman finally receiving the acknowledgement he deserves.

“It’s pretty cool they’re giving him his flowers because he was the man. He was the one that made ECW happen… he’s the guy that made everything possible.”

RVD also praised Heyman’s contributions to WWE and reminisced about the initial disrespect from many within the company due to his ECW background.

“When I was there back then… he didn’t get a lot of respect in the way of the other agents didn’t like ECW, were trying to fight it, didn’t want it to come in. They were giving him a hard time.”

Paul Heyman also revealed why he accepted the Hall of Fame induction this year. RVD also confirmed he will appear on WWE programming again this year, so fans are certainly wondering if he will induct Paul Heyman into the WWE Hall of Fame in April.
