John Cena’s depiction of the Peacemaker character has significantly altered fans’ perceptions of him, culminating in his very own Peacemaker spinoff series. Impressively, the spinoff has become DC’s highest-reviewed project to date. Interestingly enough, the second season will begin shooting sooner than anticipated.

Peacemaker has played a pivotal role in expanding the DC Extended Universe into HBO Max storytelling. Spearheaded and primarily directed by James Gunn, this endeavor has clearly proven to be a successful and rewarding venture.

It was already confirmed that season 2 of Peacemaker is well underway with James Gunn at the helm, as he is writing the season. It was previously noted that the second season would be filmed once Gunn is done filming “Superman: Legacy.”

Recently, James Gunn confirmed the completion of all scripts for Peacemaker Season 2. Now, Jennifer Holland, who stars in Peacemaker and is James Gunn’s wife, has provided a new update on the filming schedule.

In an Instagram post featuring her training in the gym with Superman star Maria Gabriela De Faria, who plays The Engineer in Gunn’s film, Holland responded to a fan’s inquiry about a second season of Peacemaker and confirmed it will begin soon.

“yessss we start filming this summer! It’s gonna be so gooooood.”

John Cena previously stated that he would love to have The Rock in the Peacemaker’s second season. We will have to wait and see when ”Peacemaker” season two will drop, as fans are already hyped for it.
