Chelsea Green Gives Preference To RAW Star Over Her Husband Matt Cardona

Chelsea Green has proven herself to be one of the exciting additions to the WWE’s women’s division ever since she came back to the company at the 2023 Royal Rumble event.

Since returning to the global juggernaut, Green has reconnected with some of her old contemporaries from her past WWE run, while also making new acquaintances in the process.

One of those close friends Chelsea has made is fellow RAW star and member of the Alpha Academy faction, Maxxine Dupri, who is trying to carve out a spot for herself in the Women’s locker room despite some recent backlash she faced from fans.

During recent interview with Joe Vulpis on the Lightweights Podcast , Chelsea Green opened up about her friendship with Maxxine, outlining various similarities in their lifestyle, workout regime, eating choices, and even sleep cycles.

“First of all, we totally have the same mentality, schedule, lifestyle, all of it. Which is really rare to find because all my other girlfriends, like my best friends Deonna [Purrazzo], she works for AEW, she goes to sleep really late, she wakes up really late. I can’t. I just cannot. We have totally different schedules. She’s pretty good at going with the flow with me, but [Maxxine] is like, let’s go to sleep as early as possible. She eats healthy with me, all the things we just mesh on.”

Moreover, Green even went on to state that she prefers Maxxine Dupri over her real-life husband Matt Cardona as a travel partner on flights.

“Actually, and I’ve told my husband this, so this isn’t gonna surprise him, I prefer traveling with Maxxine over my husband. Because we align way more than my husband and I do, like way more. Also, I really, really hate the fact that Matt and I get on a plane and I have to sit in the middle seat. I hate that. [With Maxxine], it depends. We just are like, ‘Do you want it?’ We’ll switch. We’re friends.”

Speaking about her husband, Chelsea Green stated that it was matter of time before Matt Cardona, proclaimed as the Indy God would return to WWE following his successful rejuvenation on the independent circuit. So it will be interesting if does make his return and possibly pairing up with his wife for storylines on WWE’s televised programming.
