The 3/8 episode of Friday Night Smackdown kicked off with an appearance from the United States Champion Logan Paul. While millions around the world anticipated that Paul would get his challenger for WrestleMania 40 during an appearance, the champion had some different plans.

During his appearance on Smackdown, Paul announced new deal between WWE and Prime. The social media sensation announced that Prime would be the first-ever center ring sponsor of the WWE ring of every premium live event starting WrestleMania.

Following his announcement, he also introduced a surprise appearance from KSI which was followed by Randy Orton’s music hitting up. While everyone waited for him to appear on the ramp, Orton entered from behind and attempted an RKO on Paul. However, the champion was able to run out of it.

KSI was still in the ring and the Viper then delivered an RKO to him before pouring a bottle of Prime. Orton and Owens them teamed up to defeat Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a classic tag team match. However, Paul then attacked both men and took out the brass knuckles before things turned around and he ran again.

With his surprise appearance, it is clear that Orton has his sights set to championship gold ahead of WrestleMania 40. However, with Kevin Owens having some unfinished business with Logan Paul, it would be interesting to see if a triple threat match gets confirmed for the Grandest Stage of them All.
