The WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event was undoubtedly a night of intense in-ring action and memorable moments. It was a significant event, and now the number of pay-per-view buys for the show has been revealed.

WWE’s recent event in Perth, Australia, marked its first Premium Live Event in the country since 2018. Notable outcomes included Rhea Ripley retaining her Women’s World Title against Nia Jax and Drew McIntyre winning the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, earning a World Heavyweight Championship bout against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.

Becky Lynch secured victory in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match, setting up a WrestleMania 40 clash against Rhea Ripley. The event also featured a couple of tag team title matches and a segment of the Grayson Waller Effect for added entertainment.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided details on the traditional PPV buys for WWE Elimination Chamber, which took place last Saturday in Australia. While the show was mainly viewed on Peacock or the WWE Network, the first week saw 5,900 PPV buys, marking the lowest ever for a WWE show with an early time. Late buys may see a significant rise, similar to previous instances such as the Royal Rumble, which went from 19,000 in its first week to 25,400.

Elimination Chamber is down by 61.9% from the Rumble and down by 32.2% from Crown Jewel, which was the last Saturday show outside of the normal timeslot. However, this event took place much earlier in the day for North American audiences.

Of those who purchased the Elimination Chamber, 61.6% also bought the Royal Rumble. Additionally, 12.3% bought AEW Worlds End, indicating a higher crossover number than usual, and 9.9% also bought TNA Hard to Kill, marking another unusually high crossover number.

The show also had shockingly low amount of in-ring time. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether WWE will end up returning to the Land Down Under somewhere down the line following the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event’s massive success.
