Mexico’s El Hijo del Vikingo has become one of the most talked-about names in pro wrestling recently, but he ended up suffering a knee injury recently. As expected, he will now be required to undergo knee surgery, which will put him out of action for a while.

On February 17, 2024, Vikingo teamed up with Psycho Clown and Wotan at AULL Rencor Extremo but faced a loss against Negocio Traumado. The match was stopped due to an injury sustained by Vikingo to his right knee.

It was reported that El Hijo del Vikingo might have required surgery. El Hijo Del Vikingo took to Instagram to reveal that he suffered a ruptured ligament and damaged meniscus and will be undergoing surgery on February 29th.

”I had not wanted to talk about the topic for expecting specific diagnoses, I have a ruptured ligament and damaged meniscus, this Thursday February 29th I go into surgery, we know how we got in the ring but not how we will get down, thank you to all who have taken the time to message me an apology for not replying everyone, thank you to my family for keeping an eye on my mom my wife my friends and all of you for unconditional support, see you very soon thank you –”

Vikingo’s latest AEW appearance was on the January 24 episode of Rampage, competing in the AEW International Championship Number 1 Contendership Freshly Squeezed Four Way match. The extent of his injury remains uncertain, leaving fans to wonder when El Hijo Del Vikingo will be able to make his in-ring return. The injury poses a significant setback for the young Mexican star.
