Hangman Adam Page had been the center of discussion for the entire week in the AEW landscape with speculations running rapidly regarding his status for the mega three-way showdown at AEW Revolution.

The former World champion opened this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite, walking down the aisle with the support of a crutch, evidently looking injured.

He began by reflecting on his monumental AEW World title back in 2021 while stating that he was ready to clinch his second world championship before the unfortunate incident happened last week on Dynamite.

Page concluded his statement by announcing that he would not be able to compete in the triple-threat against Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe. The Hangman was then confronted by Swerve who showed some mutual respect to the fallen superstar.

Just then, the AEW World champion Samoa Joe came out and launched a verbal tirade on both men. As Strickland was in the middle of responding to the champion, Adam Page revealed his announcement to be a ruse, attacking Swerve Strickland with the crutch, making it clear that the main event for AEW Revolution would indeed remain a three-way bout.
