Booker T has rightfully made his place among the most talented and skilled in-ring performers of all time. The 5-time WCW champion has been absent from his role of NXT commentator due to a recent medical procedure he underwent. Recently, the veteran wrestler gave an update about his return to the wrestling scene.

During the latest episode of the Hall of Fame podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T shared that his recovery is going well and he is very excited to return to commentary. Booker shared he has healed up pretty quickly and he feels around 98%. He added that he’s presently pain-free.

“I’m probably about 98% and good to go. I definitely can’t wait to get back in the saddle. My procedure went very well. I healed up pretty quickly. I’m not in any pain or anything right now. I’m looking forward to getting back to work. I hate being idle and sitting at home.”

In case you need a refresher, Booker T announced earlier this month that he would not be present to call the action on Vengeance Day. At the time, he shared that would be taking an extended leave of absence from the Black and Gold brand. However, he did not reveal the nature of his medical procedure as he wanted to keep things private.
