Booker T is regarded as one of the most talented and skilled in-ring performers of all time. The 5-time WCW champion currently sits at the helm of WWE NXT’s commentary booth. However, he seems to be taking a break from his active WWE duties.

The 2-time WWE Hall of Famer recently took to his X to announce that he would not be present to call the action at NXT’s upcoming pay-per-view, Vengeance Day.

Booker T also mentioned that he is set to undergo a medical procedure and would be taking an extended leave of absence from the Black and Gold brand. He did not reveal the nature of his medical setback but assured the fans that he was doing fine and would be back in no time.

“I will not be at #NXTVengenceDay tonight and I’ll be off TV the next couple weeks due to medical procedure I had to have. But – I’m all good and I’ll be back in action on @WWENXT in no time! Thank you all for your support, couldn’t do it with out the people. Shucky Ducky!”
