Ahead of the event, Ripley made it clear she believes her match with Lynch should main event WrestleMania 40.

During the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in Perth, Australia, Becky Lynch punched her ticket to WrestleMania 40 as she won the Women’s Elimination Chamber match. Rhea Ripley also retained her Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax in the main event of the show.

Therefore, Becky Lynch will be challenging Rhea Ripley for her Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 40. While speaking to Daily Mail, Rhea Ripley talked about her upcoming match with Becky Lynch. Ripley stated that she feels her match with Becky Lynch should headline WrestleMania 40.

“I mean, Mami already main evented her WrestleMania. So, why not do the next one as well? I think Becky Lynch and I stepping into the ring at Mania is main event-worthy. I really do. The last time we faced each other was in NXT leading up to Survivor Series and WarGames, that was Mami’s time to shine.”

Rhea Ripley made it clear that she is confident about walking out of WrestleMania 40 as the Women’s World Champion.

“And, it’s still Mami’s time to shine because Mami is always on top. And, I’ve proved that time in and time again. So, if we are given the opportunity, if we take the opportunity to be the main event, I hope Becky Lynch is ready.”
