The February 21st, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite saw a lot of solid action and segments for fans and as is the case for every week, the ratings for this week’s show are a topic of discussion. Interestingly enough, the show ended up beating SmackDown’s ratings in Canada despite The Rock’s appearance.

According to Dave Meltzer on The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW won in the demo and surpassed SmackDown in overall viewership in Canada, even with The Rock on the latter.

AEW set an all-time Canadian total viewer record with 204,000 viewers, including 97,000 in the 25-54 demographic. On the other hand, Smackdown on 2/16 had 186,000 viewers and 64,000 in 25-54.

”The Canadian ratings for the week saw AEW win in the demo and even beat Smackdown with Rock in overall viewers while setting their all-time Canadian total viewer record. Smackdown on 2/16 did 186,000 viewers and 64,000 in 25-54, which is absolutely shocking given Rock was on the show.”

AEW Dynamite’s viewership in the US also saw an uptick this week as well. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see whether AEW will continue to keep up with the momentum in the coming weeks.
