Kenny Omega was set to pursue the AEW World Tag Team Championships alongside Chris Jericho but is currently sidelined due to diverticulitis. Now, Tony Khan has given a positive update on Omega while he continues to recover after his health crisis.

As previously mentioned, Kenny Omega faced a life-threatening situation with a 50% chance of death due to the severe illness. It was then reported that Omega’s surgery, which was crucial for his recovery, had been delayed, leading to an indefinite hiatus from his professional commitments.

While speaking to SportsGrid, AEW President Tony Khan was asked to give an update on Kenny Omega’s condition. Tony Khan stated that Omega is doing better right now but he was in serious trouble, before being thankful that doctors discovered his condition before things took a turn for the worse.

“Kenny is doing better but he was seriously sick and his life could have been threatened had he not gotten to the doctors when he did. He was really sick. Thankfully he’s doing much better, we all wish him the best and look forward to seeing him again when he’s healthy.”

It was also reported that his career hangs in the balance as he awaits surgery. Only time will reveal whether Omega will need surgery. Until then, we extend our best wishes for a speedy recovery, hoping he can swiftly return to pursuing what he loves most.
