The WrestleMania XL Kickoff Press Event just went down 24 hours ago. The press event left fans with a lot to talk about.

One of the biggest talking points was the conclusion of the event. After Cody Rhodes announced that he was facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40, things took a turn for the worse when he mentioned The Rock and Roman’s family.

This resulted in The Rock slapping Cody across his face causing a scuffle to break out. Following the event, a pissed of Rock walked by Triple H backstage and asked him to fix this.

Following the event, Triple H confirmed that Cody Rhodes will be facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 much to the delight of the fans. It was then announced that Triple H would be showing up to SmackDown to make an announcement.

Tonight on SmackDown, Triple H kicked off the show. He started by acknowledging the events that transpired at WrestleMania XL Press Event. He also took a couple of shots at The Rock when he said that some people need to know their role.

Triple H then reminded everyone that he is in charge before he confirmed that Roman Reigns would face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 40.

After Triple H finished his announcement, Nick Aldis said that it was time to focus on Seth Rollins and find him an opponent for WrestleMania. He then announced a Men’s Elimination Chamber match to determine who will face Rollins at WrestleMania.

Adam Pearce then confirmed that Drew McIntyre, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul, Dominik Mysterio, LA Knight, Bobby Lashley, Bronson Reed, The Miz, Sami Zayn, and Ivar will compete in qualifying matches to determine who will head to WWE Elimination Chamber.

It looks like a lot of the answers surrounding Seth’s WrestleMania 40 plans were presented during tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Stay tuned to Ringside News for live coverage of WWE SmackDown.
